Richly Good! Smile Nov 23, 2013

This little traditional cake shop hidden at Kandahar Street severs amazing Swiss Roll! It is hard to find location if you are not familiar around that area, about 15 minutes’ walk from the nearest MRT station (Bugis). The queue has always been long during lunch time. There are about 9 flavors of Swiss Roll and the price starts from $6.50. There is nothing fancy about their packaging. It is a simple peach color box with their logo and flavors indication. I decided to try their Coffee Swiss Roll today. There is a light coffee fragrant and it is soft and spongy. Ideal for a cuppa! lol

Yummy Beef Rendang! Smile Nov 22, 2013

My wife introduced me to this Indonesian Restaurant - Rumah Makan Minang at Kandahar Street. If I never remember wrongly, this restaurant was featured in one of the TV food show. The queue was very long when we reach! My wife commented it was longer than usual. After queuing for about 15 minutes, we finally got our food. The beef rendang is very tasty! It is tender and the rendang sauce goes very well with the rice. The vegetables are not over cooked and delicious too!

Lunch in School Smile Nov 18, 2013

Lunching in Koufu in Nanyang Poly is the best way to save money and have a full meal at the same time. The western food stall is my favourite stall when I was studying there. You can have a chicken cutlet with rice and 2 side dishes of your choice for just $3.80. It is definitely the best and cheapest western food you can find in a food court. Since the food court is open to public, you will see many working personnel from the surrounding offices coming in for lunch. So expect the lunchtime crunch!!

Lor Mee Smile Nov 17, 2013

This stall serves one of the Best Lor Mee In Town! It is one of my favorite breakfasts at only $2.50! Although the operating hours stated is from 7am to 2pm. But the stall owner often drags till around 8am, sometimes even later! As a result, I would only eat this during weekend. The gravy is thick and tasted great with the garlic, chili paste and vinegar. The pieces of crispy yam dough which tasted delicious when it soaks up the gravy, there are also pieces of fried fish and braised pork.

Dad’s Favourite Duck Rice Smile Nov 16, 2013

My dad brought me to this stall when it was still situated at Clark Quay. It has since moved to Sims Place Market and Food Centre. A set for 1 with duck meat, extra rice, tau kua and eggs cost only $4.70. The chilli is also superb. With a bit of vinegar in the chilli, it makes the meat more appetising. It only opens after 10am and closes before dinner. Lunchtime comes with long waiting time!!
