Newly opened restaurant in Orchard Central, located high up at Level 11, it is only through reading HGW that I come to know of this place. Being a burger fan, I headed over since there is a 30% discount for HGW readers until end of Feb.

At the entrance, the decorations and layout of the restaurant is sure as eye-catching and quirky. You will see a punching bag hung at the side of the main entrance. The interior was kinda solemn and sombre. It is designed with a concept of a fighting ring I suppose with the decorations of some fighting gloves, head gear and Thai fighting shorts. A unique concept I would say.

Food variety, as the name of the restaurant suggests, is fairly limited to burgers and wings plus a few other options of pasta. Eager to try the burgers, I ordered the Pumpkin Rice Cracker with Beef patty ($16.90) and my friend had the Cajun Wings ($15.80). I was slightly disappointed to see that my burger was actually a 'rice burger', I did not read the food description properly before ordering. However, though not really getting a real burger, I was delightedly consoled by the food quality and taste. The beef patty was moist and flavourful, and the poached egg on top of it also made it not so dry, adding on a yummy eggy taste. Rice cracker below was also slightly crispy, especially the side parts of the rice.

On the other hand, the wings was not too bad too, well-marinated and thus was full of flavour of the Cajun spice. But I think if there were to be some spiciness, it would be added oomp while the wings size was not big. I like wings to be huge and chunky haha lol

There is a salad and tapas bar whereby one can have free flow salad, soup and dessert with an add-on of $4..90 during lunch hours. I think all the types of salad served were simply awesome. The tomato soup was good too but not sourish enough. My friend liked very much the thin crispy Papaderm with salsa topping which I find them addictive too.

Overall, good food quality and interesting concept. Staff are all friendly and attentive. I would head back definitely to try on a real burger the next time haha

Healthy Good Food *thumbs up* Smile Feb 20, 2014

Eating well doesn't always cost much. At real food, pricing is relatively reasonable, considering the high food quality. Besides that, I really like how comfortable and laid-back the interior is. The cushion seats are cosy with even some small pillows laid on the couch as well. There is a section with reading materials made available for the customers. It is a very nice chilling place for chit-chatting.

Good ambience aside, food is equally good and fresh. Real food prides itself of serving food with passion and utmost effort while compromising is not an option. Thus, time spent on preparing the food could be fairly long.

Ordered the Real Mushroom Soup ($12.80) and the Vegetarian Pizza ($14.80). There were some sautéed mushrooms together with a piece of toast along with the soup. The soup was good and tasted really wholesome with the mushroom bits inside. But I didn't like that the bread was placed in the soup which made it too soggy after a while. That was quite unsatisfactory.

The pizza, on the other hand, was much better. It had a crispy thin base with all my favorite toppings such as olives, onions and capsicums.

Overall, I think the place manages to achieve customers satisfaction in all aspects from food to environment. Good option for health junkies!smile

Awesome Paleo food ^^ Smile Feb 11, 2014

Paleo diet comprises food groups our hunter-gatherer ancestors would have thrived on during the Paleolithic era, including fresh meats, fish, seafood, fruits, vegetables, seeds and nuts. Food such as dairy
products, cereal grains, legumes, refined sugars and processed foods would be ousted out. Thus, it is a wholesome healthy diet.

This diet trend is picked up by healthy advocators such as the owner of the Cavemen's diet. And it is reasonably-priced as well as opposed to the notion that healthy food is usually tagged with higher pricing mad

Tried the Grilled Whole Chicken half Italian and half Mexican version with two side dishes ($18.90 plus a drink). Both versions were equally palatable after being marinated with herbs and spices. The chicken meat was tender and juicy. It was simply awesome and you can indulge feeling assured that no MSG nor artificial flavorings were used. For sides, had pumpkin and salad. I love the pumpkin especially with its subtle sweetness and its soft yet toothsome texture.

The only flip side is its limited dining area. The stall has no dining tables of its own but some nearby F&B outlets allow the stall's customers to dine at their own dining area. So takeaway will be more appropriate though inconvenient. This also accounts for its reasonable price. lol

I can find no better place so far whenever I am looking for a nice place for some quiet reading or for some work with my laptop. The cafe has a relaxing ambience where one can just sit comfortably on their comfy sofa seats and just sit there for hours and hours. There are free wireless Internet access and electrical power-points. There are also reading materials consisting of a wide range of topics. The soothing lighting is adequate for reading and the cafe is quite spacious, giving one overall a feeling of laid-backness.

Perfect environment but lately it has been getting more crowded, so it is less ideal to go during weekends. Seats could be quite limited as most customers would dine and stay there for a fairly long period of time. Food-wise, I would not say it is fantastic but some food items are really good. Coffee is good too. I usually would order my favorite Grand Caesar Salad which comprises Honey Mustard Chicken, avocado & Poached Egggg!! It is a great combination and the portion is large enough as a meal coupled with a cup of coffee. AHHH really this is one of my must-haves every month indeed ^^

Desserts-wise, I would recommend Lemon Pine Nut tart if you are looking for something not too sweet. The sourish tart filling is coupled with pine nuts and a crunchy tart base. Again, my another favorite item there lol

I would actually have preferred to not review about it so as to reduce the current crowd size haha mad
But well, I think it would not make much of a difference as the place is quite accessible near town center and I can see they are garnering more crowd nowadays with their great setting and good food chopstick

Too cute for eating >< Smile Nov 30, 2013

For every month, TCC would come up with different designs of High Tea Set at approximately the price of $15++ inclusive of tea or coffee. I have almost never failed to try their High Tea set every month. And November's set was designed in a way in conjunction with December festive season.

Adorable presentation aside, the food was good. I like their scones very much, but this was a chocolate chip scone unlike the usual cranberry scone I had for the past few months. I didn't like chocolate chip much as it was too sweet for me. The macaroons were, too sweet as well, and so I left them untouched. On the other hand, the savoury ones tasted really good, especially the one with the meat chunk on top chopsticklol

It was all altogether a delicate assembly of festive delights that will satisfy your palate definitely! Yeah Like
