On passing by the restaurant, my attention was drawn to the bright and colorful gay outlook of the whole place. Standing at the entrance of the entrance, my attention was then redirected to the appealing big menu signboard.

Heard the first branch of Eggs and Berries at Changi City Point is not bad, now that it is strategically located all the way to the west nearby where I stayed, I was delighted to head off to the place for a visit. I ordered the Grilled Chicken Leg ($18.90) which consists of a broiled boneless chicken leg, fries and a poached egg. The meat was juicy and tender while the chicken skin was flavoured with Cajun spices. The poached egg was executed nicely just the way it should be. But I wondered how would the egg complement the dish. I ate the egg along with a pancake which I took from my friend's plate haha lol

My friend had the Steak and Egg ($18.90). The whole plate was an appealing mix of steak, sunny side up, buttermilk pancakes, rosti, baked beans and mixed greens. Everything was near to perfection with the salivating aroma and flavorful gravy sauce.

Eggs and berries serves good decent quality food. The environment with its bright gay vibrancy adds on to a pleasant overall dining experience lol

The stall serves YongTauFoo with a special brown gravy with minced pork. The gravy has a slight sweetness in it and it goes well with the noodles and the YongTauFoo.

A set comes with noodles in the gravy and six pieces, costs $5.30. The YongTauFu are all fresh and good though nothing much fantastic mad. But I like the noodles in the gravy with minced pork which adds on a palatable taste to the whole dish lol chopstick

Less than satisfactory Cry Feb 26, 2014

Was looking for a burger and came across this place and thought of giving it a try. It has a slightly different concept from the usual sandwich bun as the bread bun is replaced with a thin waffle.

Tried the Griddy Ocean Catch ($8.10). It came with some waffle fries as side. The thin waffle has a mild fragrance but was rather soft and not crispy. The fish fillet was ordinary, just like the normal fried frozen fish fillet one gets from supermarket. Waffles fries tasted like bland deep friend potatoes.

Overall, the sandwich was really unimpressive while for its worth, the pricing might have been slightly steep in my opinion. Not going back for a second shot.

As our taste buds are most probably accustomed to the common version of peppery Bak Kut Teh, some might not welcome the change of the taste of the soup this stall offers.

The soup has an aromatic pleasing herbal taste which appeals very much to me. Sadly, you can't ask for free refill like other usual Bak Kut Teh place.

A Claypot of Pork Rib soup for one person costs $4. The soup was full of flavour while the pork ribs meat was tender to chew. Ordered a side dish of Mushroom Kailan ($3) which complemented the meal nicely lol

If you don't mind trying the herbal soup taste, this is a change from the usual Bak Kut Teh. Food quality is good and fresh and reasonably-priced.

Looking at the display of the wide array of appealing pasta, pizza and side dishes is indeed tempting enough to justify a visit to this pasta place lol

After a dining experience to the place, I feel that it has justified a re-visit to the restaurant in the future.

Went on a weekday for lunch and there is a promotion of weekday lunch set $14.90 which consists of any choice of pasta, salad and a small soup.

For the salad, there is a salad counter to mix and match own salad. Though the choices are fairly limited, they are all fresh and good. One can choose from the usual lettuce, carrots, cherry tomatoes to fruits such as pineapple and lychee. For a brinjal lover like myself, I was delighted to see there were sautéed brinjal as well. For toppings there are bacon bits and white sesame as well as flavorful dressings.

Feeling already satiated after a bowl of fresh salad, I was really very satisfied with the pasta I ordered. I had the shrimp and mushroom with Onsen Egg pasta in tomato sauce. The noodles was cooked al-dente and the tomato cream sauce was full of flavour. The addition of an Onsen Egg on top added extra oomph and moist to it lol The portion was too big for me and I was full to the brim already halfway eating.

I was very satisfied with the food quality here and the lunch deal was a good one. I would definitely head back here for the pasta and salad too! ^^ However I have noticed that most of the other branches actually don't have the salad counter, so the salad was actually served from the kitchen and what you will get is just some lettuces, tomatoes and carrot shreds madsad
