My favourite fried chicken place in Singapore! Location may not be at all convenient to me but I was willing to head down whenever I have the craving, it's worth the trip!

Have ordered their Spring Chicken ($10.70) this time around, it may look ordinary like what I see at some hawker centres or coffee shops, but no no no, you can't judge it on its own! The chicken was served piping hot as I was able to still see the smoke even after eating half of it. It's amazing how they can fry it to the right timing to make it so crispy, tender and juicy yet able to rid all the excess oil at the same time. The fries and colesaw were also great and complements the hero of the dish really well. If you haven't try it out already, do it! Trust me, it's always worth the trip!

Had a chance to visit the new mall Westgate and the first thing I saw was Starbucks! It happened to be on 12 December when they were having the Starbucks 1-for-1 promotion. The queue wasn't as long as I thought as it was a late weekday afternoon. I love Starbucks to go. Decided to go with the Toffee Nut Latte ($7.80) and Cranberry White Chocolate Mocha ($8.40), both cold, venti sized with sweetened whipped cream. Although the latter looks amazing and is usually more expensive, the toffee nut latte has an exceptional taste that makes you want to drink more, I really miss it. 
Although I doubt that they'll be holding any 1-for-1 anytime soon, I will definitely return to try out their Peppermint mocha soon before Christmas.

After reading several reviews on how Saveur is a nice little place for affordable French cuisine. I have recently went there with some friends. 

The place is conveniently located at the first level of Far East Plaza and the restaurant itself gives out a simple minimalistic setting with warm lightings creating a comfortable ambience.We were kind of in a rush that day as we had to hurry back to school for lessons. Although Saveur adopts the kind of fine dining menu concept which is not supposed to be very extensive, some younger people may tend to want more options so one of my friend didn't want to have anything as main. Therefore we decided to get their <b style="line-height: 1.6;">Saveur's Pasta ($4.90) to share among ourselves. This appetizer is a signature at Saveur. The finely seasoned angel hair pasta were lightly tossed in chili oil then perfectly twirled in a memorable way which were then topped with nicely chopped Japanese konbu (seaweed) and tiny sakura ebi (cherry shrimp), the pasta were complimented with some minced pork sauce for hint of flavours. A definite must try! Overall, I will visit again to try out more items on their menu! Can't wait to get their duck confit, chicken roulade and sea bass dish!

This stall at Koufu sells some pretty decent Korean cuisine. The service is also pretty efficient which results in the relatively short queue. 

Have ordered the Korean Mixed Rice ($2.50) which is super cheap and affordable. The dish comes with chicken, cucumber and carrots topped with a beautiful fried egg, some kimchi and Korean sauce. Definitely worth it. 

Always wanted to try out Brotzeit & finally got my chance on a Friday night! Have reserved a table for 4 at 8.30pm but the restaurant was too busy so we still had to wait for around 10minutes. 

We booked a table indoor but got an outdoor table, it wasn't that bad because it's an al fresco by the seaside which has a lovely setting that gives you a relaxed atmosphere. 

So we've ordered the Kasekrainer / Pork Cheese Sausages ($18.50) whereby the sausages are smoked and the dish also comes with potato salad and sauerkraut, which is actually sour cabbage. The presentation was very true to the menu and the taste is pretty impressive, I'm not a fan of the sauerkraut but the sausages were flavorful and the potatoes were addictive. 

We've also ordered the Currywurst / Pork Curry Sausage ($17.50) and oh my, this was marvelous. The pork curry sausage was topped with chili-curry sauce that complements and enhances the overall balance. The potato wedges were fine though. 

That was my first meal of the day since I was too busy to have my breakfast and lunch, so I was still hungry and went ahead to order a side dish called Spatzle ($5) which is a type of egg noodle or dumpling which they was homemade and simply butter-cooked it. Maybe because I ate this on its own instead of having it with some sausages, because I find that I got tired of it after the first few mouths. So I suggest this could be given a miss. 

And what's a German restaurant without beer? We needed to drink and gotten ourselves the Original Munchner Lager ($9.50) and a Bayrischer Longdrink ($15.50). Paulaner sells the best Munich lager in the world and this was nicely golden brewed. The Longdrink was kind of my type of beer that's not too bitter because this beer mix contains the original lager with vodka and lime juice, which gives it good flavor. 

Overall? Food was great, ambience was awesome but service lacks consistency, I did call a few times wishing to add on an order and one staff noted but later on forgot that I had previously called and went to serve some other tables. Yeah business was brisk but forgetting isn't really respectful. But besides this, the rest of the other staff were efficient, it definitely was not a perfect experience but I'll still return, maybe at another outlet at another time.
