Can't Be Any Better! Smile Dec 19, 2013

My favourite fried chicken place in Singapore! Location may not be at all convenient to me but I was willing to head down whenever I have the craving, it's worth the trip!

Have ordered their Spring Chicken ($10.70) this time around, it may look ordinary like what I see at some hawker centres or coffee shops, but no no no, you can't judge it on its own! The chicken was served piping hot as I was able to still see the smoke even after eating half of it. It's amazing how they can fry it to the right timing to make it so crispy, tender and juicy yet able to rid all the excess oil at the same time. The fries and colesaw were also great and complements the hero of the dish really well.

If you haven't try it out already, do it! Trust me, it's always worth the trip!

Healthier Fast Food Joint! Smile Dec 19, 2013

Categories : Japanese | Fast Food | Ice Cream and Gelato | Burgers and Sandwiches

Mos Burger is probably my favourite fast food joint in the country because unlike its competitors, the food served here are quite different, less mainstream I guess? They're the first fast food joint to serve rice and veggie burgers instead of purely just bread and also have some yummy Japanese desserts. On its website, the company also shows the nutritional information of each of its food item, so if you count your calories, you can check the website out!

It recently opened its doors at Northpoint, floor space may be small but well, I'm happy its there anyway! I've ordered the new Grilled Salmon Rice Cheeseburger ($4.25). The salmon patty I received may be a little overcooked, but it was yummy. Topped with seasoned mushroom sauce and melted cheese, it was delectable, especially in between rice!

My friend got himself his favourite, the regular Fish Burger ($3.45), which he says it taste better than the one served by Mcdonald's, I've tried it and agree, they do taste similar but the fish patty served here taste better, for some reasons.

My all-time favourite Mos Chicken ($2.70) is always good to have! Crisp, tender, moist, succulent and not too oily, it's an awesome side on its own.

Cheap Thai Food! Smile Dec 19, 2013

Categories : Vietnamese | Food Court

It's always good to have a decent Thai food stall nearby. This stall sells some good selection of Thai and Viet food, have tried their green curry the previous time and it wasn't bad, this time I'm trying the Basil Chicken ($3.50), for its price, the portion is pretty good, it's not that spicy and I liked every flavourful taste I get from the minced chicken, compliments very well with plain white rice.

100% Guilt Free Dessert! Smile Dec 18, 2013

Categories : Frozen Yogurt

I am always craving for cold desserts on to go whenever I'm outside. But most desserts make me feel guilty because it means I need to cut down on other food to keep healthy. So frozen yogurt is always there as the perfect alternative to icecream and other desserts!

I got the Wild Berry flavour and topped it up with kiwi, peaches and nata de coco. ($5.40). It's totally 100% fat-free thus guilt-free! I can have it as many times as I want in a day if not for the price. But it's always a good snack to have on to go!

Bishamon! Smile Dec 18, 2013

The interesting plastic food displays at Bishamon's outlet attracted me to try their ramen during my ramen hunting period. Have ordered the basic Chashu Ramen, where it was served hot not long after I ordered. The presentation looks exactly the same as the plastic display and I love that they were very generous with the thick chashu slices.

The ramen had a good elastic springy texture and the broth was deliciously rich and yummy. There were no egg in this ramen but I figured that you can order the egg separately, which I didn't. The chashu slices may be thick and flavourful but for some reasons I didn't enjoy it, I personally find it a little tough and dry for my liking and perhaps it could be overcooked for awhile that day. However, I love everything else about the ramen.
