Ramen Fever! Smile Dec 18, 2013

Categories : Japanese | Restaurant | Ramen

So I've recently went on a ramen hunt and since Ramenplay is one of the more popular ramen joints in the country, I set my feet into the 2-storey outlet at Bishan.

I've ordered their signature Sanpou Ramen (Tonkotsu), whereby this deliciously presented bowl contain three treasures of braised pork cheek, braised pork belly in special sauce and charsiew sauce. This hearty bowl is filled with a very flavourful broth boiled and simmered for more than 10 hours in order to achieve it's rich consistency.

I love all the ingredients that it contains along with the springy textured noodles that's not too thin nor thick for my liking. The perfectly soft boiled egg is also the best that I saved for the last. Always a great place to go!

Sizzle Sizzle! Smile Dec 18, 2013

There's always something interesting about sizzling plates that attracts me, so I went to Pepper Lunch to have a simple lunch!

I got the Teriyaki Chicken ($11.90) without the egg as I was sensitive to egg that week. The sizzling never failed to interest me as I observe the chicken steak being grilled while absorbing the flavourful teriyaki sauce.

Overall, I love the concept of this restaurant. Besides! It's convenient and I enjoy every simple moment dining here.

Chiso Zanmai! Smile Dec 17, 2013

Categories : Japanese | Sushi/Sashimi | Buffet

Japanese style buffet at affordable price? You may want to consider Chiso Zanmai. The adult price on a weekend afternoon was only $19.90++

The restaurant has a splendid selection of food going from sushi and sashimi, cold section, hot section to nice variety of Japanese desserts. I really enjoyed he pork belly which were seaslned and braised to perfection. The others were relatively okay, I regretted not being able to try the curry because there was a long queue for it.

I believe I've taken their matcha pudding more than 10 times at least? It was really good! And they were constantly refilling the empty parts too.

Plates were cleared efficiently and service at all stations were amazing. Food was great and the variety is a plus point. I will see myself returning soon.

Melted Marshmallow Brownie! Smile Dec 17, 2013

This is probably one of the best desserts I've ever tasted in a very long time! So I happened to  visit this place for a school project and so my friends and I decided to just share something.

This Brownie with Melted Marshmallows can only be ordered at the counter, not the menu. I didn't get to try it on my second visit because it wasn't available. But this is definitely a must try if you happen to be there! It only costs below $7 if I'm not wrong.

Light Dinner at DTF! Smile Dec 17, 2013

Categories : Dim Sum

Happened to pass by this place while wandering around Jurong Point. The open restaurant concept they have in this mall is very inviting as compared to its other outlets.

Decided to order their Pork Ribs Soup as a very light dinner. The soup may be a tad bit oily as seen in the picture but it remained light and tasty without the thirsty after taste. They were also generous with the pork ribs.

As for desserts I got myself the Mango Pudding which was a thumbs up! The pure mango flesh was used to enhance the fragrance and the sweetness it gives after combining with the pudding was fantastic!

Overall, service was excellent, ambience was great and food were satisfying. The price isn't that expensive either so it's always a good place to go anytime!
