I didn't tried before their ala carte ma la stir fry dishes.. as I find it expensive. Hence I tried their Herbal Chicken Soup Mini Steamboat. There is a lot of vegetable in it.. this is a seafood mini steamboat (around $6) but only a few small prawn, and sotong... But I do like the taste of the soup and the sweet vegetable. I also tried their mala favour which is quite spicy and oily. I think there are other mini steamboat that have more ingredients than this one with the similar price.

Lor mee  OK Feb 24, 2014   (Related Review)

This lor mee only cost $2.50.. cheap and not bad.. the thick gravy doesnt go watery easily when I am eating it. They are very generous in term of the ingredients. The Fried item in it, is very crispy even though is soaked in the thick gravy for some time. The mee itself is smooth and blend well with the gravy. There always have quite a long queue during lunch time.. This show how popular is their lor mee!

Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong | Food Court | Dim Sum

The dim sum here sell at a nett price, hence make it cheaoer than those selling at the restaurant. I wouldn't say it is of a fantastic quality.. but it is still consider decent quality dim sum with a good price.

the har gao is big, but the prawn doesn't taste very fresh and skin is quite thick.

The chee cheong fun with prawn is nit bad with the sweet and tasty sauce.. even though the prawn is small and doesn't taste very fresh but I do love the sauce and the smoothness of the chee cheong fun.

most of the steam dim sum is ok, but fried item is already cooked, and placed there.. so it is no longer hot... the pan fried carrot cake taste great though.

egg tart OK Feb 23, 2014

Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong | Bakery

whenever I am at chinatown, tong heng always came in my mind... Their egg Tart, in my view the best egg tart... But it must be eat when it is hot... When I take away, the egg tart is cold, egg still juicy and sweet.. but the crust become soggy and soft. I usually would eat it when it is still warm at the shop itself. it taste really great! strongly recommended. I also tried their egg cake, but it taste dry and normal to me. I shall just stick to my favorite egg tart at tong heng.

Not too bad but not the best OK Feb 22, 2014

Categories : Hawker Centre | Noodles

They are opened at evening, usually we have to wait for quite some time before we are served with a fresh and hot plate of Fried Kuay Teow. The taste of it is nice with pork lard in it... but the fragrant ( wok hei) is still a bit lacking, it slightly watery, the ingredients taste fresh and good. I still prefer the famous fried kuay teow at zion riverside food centre.. They have more fragrant, and can customise, asked for more dak sauce or make it white, without any dark sauce.
