Cheap & not bad dim sum Smile Feb 21, 2014

Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Dim Sum

My first time at swee choon, the price is quite cheap. We are given a seat in the air con area. Don't like the fried mee sua, as it is very oily and filling.

The har gao is not bad with whole prawn but skin can be thinner. The chee cheong fun is a bit too salty. The custurd bun is not flowing but it taste good. My favorite is the yang chun noodles eith oil and onion. The sauce is great, I love it so much! Simple yet very nice.

Old chang kee  Smile Jan 26, 2014

Old chang kee curry puff is my all time favourite. It is always HOT and Fresh when I eat it... Even though the price $1.40 might seems abit expensive for a curry puff, but the quality and ingredients( curry, potato and some shredded chicken) is definitely worth this price! I always have it as my snack!

As for old chang kee breakfast. Their congee with you tiao is less than $2... the congee taste not bad and the you tiao is fresh and hot and very crispy!

As for the glutinous rice only have some peanuts etc... taste normal, and only cost $1.20....

Recommended Dish(es):  Congee, Glutinous Rice

I love their carrot cake. They sell the white and black carrot cake. They r generous with egg... the auntie will mix many eggs tgh..n pour generously on the carrot cake. Their black carrot cake is sweet, moist and tasty. Sometimes I would ask them to make it more black, and I love it with alot of spring onion. $2.50/$3.

Some Pasta is good!  OK Jan 17, 2014

Categories : Italian | Pasta | Halal

Our FREE dining event at Pasta Mania. Marinara, chicken bolognese, cream of chicken n garlic bread, passion fruit quencher, and honey lemon jello etc...

Marinara is seafood tomato base pasta. the seafood don't taste very fresh. My favourite is still their spicy chicken pasta. The chilli is VERY spicy, and very shiok to eat it. I only eat their their tomato base pasta, as I tried before the creamy base pasta, and after finishing half a plate, I feel quite sick of it, because of the creamy base.

Flat white, English Tea , choco italiano, banana dessert pizza, chicken bites, waffles fries etc. Their fried item taste ok, nothing fantastic about it, but at least it is hot and fresh.

Yummy wanton mee  OK Jan 17, 2014

Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong | Noodles

Pontian wanton mee is my favourite wanton mee. What I like about their wanton mee is the mee (noodles) as it springy and it doesn't become soggy even I take away it. But the portion is too small, so sometimes, I would add noodles. There is ketchup, chilli, black sauce base for the mee. I always choose only chilli. I love their chilli as it is slight spicy and sweet. The cha siew is thinly sliced, hich I like as I don't like too thick cha siew. I always choose the soupy wanton, as I find the fried one too oily. Don't really the wanton as it is too small, and very little meat in it.

Recommended Dish(es):  Wanton mee
