I am back here again! Instead of joining the long queue, I had breakfast instead at 10.30am!
Instead of eating their signature crispy pork chop, I had their curry pork! It is very delicious, I prefer this to their crispy pork chop as I find that their pork chop too dry. Their braised cabbage is so soft, and almost melted in my mouth! I also tried their curry chicken, not really nice, as it is chicken wing, quite little meat and hard to eat. We asked for extra curry sauce on it, and they are so generous with it! So Shiok!

Ah Tai Hainanese Chicken Rice at Maxwell Food centre. Ah Tai was the former master chef of the famous Tian Tian Chicken rice for 20years.
I prefer Ah Tai Chicken RICE to Tian Tian. Ah Tai rice not too oily and of the right texture. However, Tian Tian one too moist and soft.
Tian Tian chicken is smoother than Ah Tai chicken. But Ah Tai chicken is already consider quite smooth la.
As for the sauce, both Tian Tian & Ah Tai taste light... but I prefer Ah Tai as Tian Tian one is too bland and sticky.
Overall, this two chicken rice is definitely one of the best in Singapore.
Ah Tai chicken rice for tonight dinner. Half chicken, 5 packet of rice S $14.50 for 4 of us.

Wrong Order! No Century egg?  OK Nov 17, 2014

Categories : Singaporean | Hawker Centre | Porridge/Congee

It has been some time since I visited Ivan porridge. Because chicken is sold out. So I ordered S$3 minced pork ball, Century Egg and Egg ($0.30). However, they totally forgotten about the century egg. I told them he didnt give me century egg, but he insisted that this is the correct order.

Generous portion of minced pork ball, but the congee is not smooth enough and quite diluted. . I definitely prefer their shredded chicken & century egg congee.

I love taimei... like the idea of the food having the name of popular taiwan pop star.. My favorite is Selina, it is their signature fried chicken with bbq sauce that taste sweet... quite unique. And they will prepared upon order so the food is fresh and hot. My vegan friend and I , like the fried mushroom, the mushroom is veru soft, yet crispy on the outside, with a tasty chilli power... I also like their bubble milk tea.. it is not too sweet, smooth and taste great! strongly recommendedly!

Categories : Chinese | Food Court | Steamboat/Hot Pot

I didn't tried before their ala carte ma la stir fry dishes.. as I find it expensive. Hence I tried their Herbal Chicken Soup Mini Steamboat. There is a lot of vegetable in it.. this is a seafood mini steamboat (around $6) but only a few small prawn, and sotong... But I do like the taste of the soup and the sweet vegetable. I also tried their mala favour which is quite spicy and oily. I think there are other mini steamboat that have more ingredients than this one with the similar price.
