Chatterbox Smile Dec 02, 2014

Chicken rice is one of their signature dish in Chatterbox. Definitely not for the budget traveller as the chicken rice costs $27. However, it is a good dining experience to try out food in an air conditioned, cozy spacious ambience. The chicken is smooth & tender just to my liking. There are 3 different sauces (dark soy sauce, ginger, chili) available to dip the meat. I love the ginger sauce most (the samsui ginger chicken at soup restaurant is pretty good too).

Other than chicken rice, their lobster laska ($36) is my favourite too. The soup is very thick & flavourful. Lobster is fresh & tender meat. Their fresh brewed coffee ($9) tastes normal, I still preferred starbucks coffee tongue

Overall, the food were good though a little bit salty for our taste buds. Needs to drink lotsa water after the meal tongue Price is a bit steep but probably because it is a 5 star hotel restaurant.

Bali Thai Smile Feb 02, 2015

We wanted to try out a variety of food, so we ordered a total of 5 dishes for our dinner. The Thai mango salad is very refreshing, love the slightly sour mango strips paired with the crispy dried shrimps drizzle with sweet sauce with a bit of chopped red chili. Their combination platter includes rice crackers, Thai fish cake, spring rolls, satay with peanut sauce. I love their fish cake & satay particularly. Very flavourful & chewy fish cake while the chicken satay is soft & tender. The peanut sauce given is pretty generous!

We love the crispy Tahu telok drizzled with the sweet peanut sauce. Simple addictive! Tom yum soup is my all time favourite. Love the fresh seafood (prawns, sotong, mussel) in the soup. A little spicy & sour soup which opens up your appetite & lets you craves for more! Eggplant with minced meat & basil is another awesome dish that you must try. Very flavourful dish, every bite is infused with the basil taste.

The staffs are very attentive to our needs & prompt in their services. Thumbs up. Will definitely come back to Nex to try out other dishes in future.

We went to Lime Champagne Brunch today to celebrate my birthday smile
This is a cheaper version of Champagne Brunch compared to 'The Edge' at Pan Pacific. We must say that Lime buffet spread is quite good with a wide selection of food including our favourite Foie Gras! The chef carefully pan fry the Foie Gras & sprinkle some sea salt on them, you can imagine how yummy they were when paired with some sweet pears slices & passion fruit =)

My hubby love their Lobster Risotto. The chunks of lobster meat do add texture & risotto is packed full of flavour. However I felt that the rice grains could be cooked just a little more till slightly soften. Lobster bisque is very good, smooth & creamy eaten together with croutons... yummy =)

There are the usual assorted sushi, sashimi-salmon & tuna. The tuna is not very nice, a bit on the dry side. We love their chewy cha soba =) Though the oysters were small, they were very fresh & yummy =)

They had a pretty good spread of desserts ranging from the nonya kueh, cakes, ice creams, bread puddings to Matcha chocolate fondue. I simply love the Matcha chocolate fondue, dipping fruits & marshmallows into the thick, creamy sweet matcha flavoured chocolate. My hubby on the other hand love their own made lime marshmallows. He particularly love durian pengat & ate 3 small glasses.

Overall, the dinning experience is a pleasant one. The staffs were very efficient in clearing our used plates & attended to our needs promptly.

momiji japanese Buffet Restaurant Smile Dec 22, 2014

Momiji Japanese Restaurant offers collagen hotpot in buffet style where you can have it as a steamboat, shabu shabu or even Zosu (Japanese rice porridge). The collagen pudding is simmered over long hours with Kampung chicken. To start off, the collagen pudding will have to cook till it melts, then add some pink rock salt & shoyu into the soup. If you fancy spicy soup, you can add some kimchi paste too.

There is a cooked food section. Our favourite were scallop fried rice & prawn paste mid wings. Rice were fragrant with generous scallops scattered all over the rice while the wings were crispy & well marinated. Lasangna is pretty good too, bursting with cheese as you take a bite!

There are meat section where they serve 3 kinds of meat, beef, pork collar & pork belly. Noodle section consists of somen, udon, instant noodles & crispy noodles. Seafood section is pretty good especially their prawns, so big & fresh! I love the cheese tofu very much, soft & cheesy. Mushroom balls, fishballs, Fu Zhou fishballs etc were very fresh & yummy =)

What we love most is we can create our own dipping sauces. Miso Sesame is my favourite sauce for dipping the meats. They have raw minced meat on bamboo shoot, but I find them not very nice & they separated into smaller chunks till 'disappear' after cooking in the soup tongue

There are dessert corner with fresh fruits, assorted ice creams & petite cakes. The sliced pineapple at the fruit corner were already dried up & looks totally inedible.

Overall, the dinning experience is a good one with lots of hotpot ingredients to choose from.

Prima Deli Smile Dec 16, 2014

We got a Truffle logcake from Prima Deli since Christmas is just round the corner. This is our first time eating logcake from Prima Deli & we think that their truffle logcake is pretty yummy. This 1kg logcake is quite huge so is definitely more than enough to share among our whole family (7 adults + 1 kid).

All of us love the pretty presentation with chocolate roses & dark chocolate shavings on the sides of the logcake. One thing that I do not like is the mushy, soft raspberries on top of the cake, not hard to guess that the raspberries were not fresh or were kept too long.

Apart from that, the chocolate sponge cake is very soft & fluffy. The cream is rich, velvety-smooth & not too heavy. My family members were all chocolate cake lovers, so they enjoyed the cake very much! =)
