Mediocre Dessert  OK Nov 30, 2013

My friend and I came here for the Signature Blackball dessert that many have been telling us about. The layout of the dessert looks enticing but when we started eating it, we were disappointed by the quality of the sweet potato and yam balls. They are not as chewy as other brands that are available in Singapore. An only redeeming point is the quality of the pearls which are chewy and delicious, which definitely goes well with the dessert.

Fantastic Western Food Smile Nov 26, 2013

This Astons outlet located in The Cathay is conveniently located for people who are looking for a good meal before or after a movie. My favourite is the black pepper steak that also comes with 2 sides. The amount of black pepper sauce on the steak is generous. Among all the sides, I will recommend the Macaroni and Cheese for cheese lovers like me. The service is generally okay.

Great Service! Smile Nov 22, 2013

The interior is reminiscent of a cosy European cafe and the food is fabulous. The escargots ($9.80++) were so good that I'm almost unashamed to admit that I poured the remaining garlic butter from the shell into my mouth.

I had the squid ink pasta ($16.80++), one of the tastier versions I've had in Singapore. It's doesn't smell bad like others I've tried before and the squid bits were flavourful, wish they had been more generous with that though. My boyfriend had the emu rice ($16.80++), which I tried. The egg was fluffy and soft and the rice were just the right texture.

Service in Singapore tends to veer either towards indifference or over the top. But here it was just right. The staff weren't pushy, water was served on arrival and they really made us feel as ease and at home. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

We were lucky to be invited to a food tasting session by Between and OpenRice at Supply&Demand. It was pretty hard to find the place. But all the walking was worth it when we walked into Supply&Demand. I loved the rustic look and cosy setting, perfect for gatherings and dates.

The food tasting menu consisted of two appetisers, a pasta, a pizza and last but not least, a dessert. Avocado And Prawn Salad along with Fries With A Side of Guilt were dished up first. While the former was definitely a healthy and yummy choice, the fries were amazing! Fluffy and covered in cheese with bbq sauce dip on the side, I wished I had stuffed myself with more.

My partner and I shared the Maiale Orientale Pasta and Al Funghi Pizza. The pasta had a slight hint of spiciness and the slivers of sausages added oomph to the dish. The Al Funghi Pizza was served on a wooden block and had a thin crust. I would have preferred the crust to be more crunchy but my partner loved it and the toppings were full of mushroomy goodness. By the time the dessert was served, we were already feeling full but who could possibly turn down the opportunity to indulge in a sinful lava chocolate cake topped off with a macaron? We polished it off within minutes.

After the sumptuous meal, we made our way up to the rooftop on the second level. The night view of the city skyline from the porch was simply breathtaking. From what I've heard, there are also live soccer screenings for football fans!

Anyway, there was this carte blanche on the menu, basically you choose the meat you want and the chef determines how it is to be cooked. What a pity we didn't have it this time but we'll definitely be trying this on our next visit. Can't wait!

This is the restaurant that many Singaporeans and tourists visit for the Black Pepper and Chilli Crabs. It used to taste good and was my favourite place to enjoy the dishes. However, on my recent visits, I realised that the service is very poor (hasn't been great all along) and the crabs that they served have not been as fresh as those served elsewhere. The crab that me and my friends had was watery on the inside and seemed that it hasn't been cooked thoroughly. We have found a better crab place since then and won't be visiting this restaurant anymore.
