Serangoon Garden now has a new addition - My Village - and Wang Cafe is one of the cosy cafes found here.
We tried the Mee Siam and Laksa.
Both were appetisng - the gravies of both were rich and had lingering tastes; and they had
a variety of ingredients in them.
However, the portions were small.
We had Home made lime juice - this was refreshing!
A simple cafe, but loaded with lots of local favourites!
Will definitely go back for breakfast and coffee soon...

This stall is the Food Junction at Nex in Serangoon Central.
The Bee Hoon Goreng is delicious. it is served with cucumber and a special sauce.
The noodles taste great when eaten with the sauce.
This dish is usually available in the afternoon, do try it - It's good!

Chanced upon this restaurant at Ang Mo Kio Hub.
Was attracted by the local menu - laksa and chicken curry; so, decided to give it a try.
The menu had an extensive range of Japanese and Western food.
The presentation of the coffee was pleasing to the eye - especially due to the Oreo cookie that sat pretty, next to it.
The Laksa was OK, the portion was quite small, so I wouldnt say it was good value for money, but the overall ambience of the restaurany was good!
The service was good, though it could have been better.

This restaurant features a different type of Indian cuisine from the southern part of India.
They also feature a fusion menu with Chinese cuisine. I tried the Chicken noodles cooked Chinese style. There was a generous amount of chicken meat and vegetables.
The cutlet, supposedly fish cutlet, had more mashed potato and vegetable than fish, so that was disappointing. The Briyani rice was good but the Chicken Masala didnt have enough chicken! The prices were quite high for the portions served but the ambience and service made up for it.

A New Kind of Dining Experience OK Apr 27, 2011

This was my first visit to Carl's Jr.
Wasnt really keen to try the burgers as they looked really huge, so decided to try their later addition - Hand Breaded Chicken Tenders.
The chicken was good; it had a special type of batter-coating.
However, it was a little on the salty side.
The Garden Salad was obviously just taken out from the fridge - it was too cold and not fresh. I took a set meal - chicken, fries and drink - that alone cost me $10.40.
I feel that was a bit too expensive. Moreover the drinks were at the self-service counter.
It was after 9pm, and the drinks station did not look clean and well-maintained, with spillages everywhere. For Ice Lemon Tea, the slices were placed in a bowl and many customers were using their bare fingers to grab the lemon pieces.
For the high price for two -$17.40, I felt that hygiene was sadly lacking.
I dont think I got good value for money. The next time I go there, I will just order takeaway.
Service was fast and the staff were helpful, especially when the coffee flask at the self station counter could not be opened!
