Cha Soba & Sashimi Salad Smile Nov 18, 2014

Wanted to have something healthy for lunch today, so I got myself a cha soba and shared a sashimi salad.

Cha Soba

Cha Soba

The portion was just right and everything was good, just that I found the noodles chewier than normal.

Sashimi Salad

Sashimi Salad

We requested to have just salmon and tako for the sashimi and we got the Sushi Tei dressing. I've ordered this many times and I love how refreshing this dish is with the crunchy veg and tangy dressing.

Double -boiled Milk with Mini Mochi

Double -boiled Milk with Mini Mochi

This is one of my favourites at Honeymoon Dessert, which is only available as a cold dessert. The double-boiled milk is like a soft tofu pudding, very very smooth and silky and slightly sweet. I also always like to add on the mini mochi which is about a dollar plus. It's like mini tang yuans, slightly doughy and chewy. I really love this combination and it can be a little filling for some people so you may want to consider sharing!

Wanted a light lunch so I decided to have some sushi.

Premium Eel with Tamago Sushi

Premium Eel with Tamago Sushi

This cost around $8, pretty expensive but the eel and tamago were pretty big and thick in slices. The sweet taste of the egg and eel together with the textures and mouthfeel of everything was quite shiok lol

Aburi Salmon Belly Sushi

Aburi Salmon Belly Sushi

This is my must-order whenever it's available at whichever Japanese restaurant I'm at. I absolutely love the soft, slightly cooked yet still a little raw salmon.
Chawanmushi

Chawanmushi

Another one of my favourites at Sushi Tei. This never fails smilesmile

Yummy potato broccoli patty! Smile Nov 17, 2014

Salmon with Potato Broccoli Patty

Salmon with Potato Broccoli Patty

I had the Salmon which came with carrots and 2 potato broccoli patty. I really like the sauce used for salmon (can be bought at the shop on level 1) and the patty, which was somehow just really yummy! It doesn't look like much but you could taste the soft potato cubes mixed in with broccoli. If only they sell it by its own, I would definitely buy many of it home!

Smoked Salmon Chowder

Smoked Salmon Chowder

The smoke salmon chowder was pretty good too, you can taste the smoked salmon and it wasn't too salty either.

Organic Penne with Meatballs

Organic Penne with Meatballs

The pasta was a little hard and the tomato sauce was a little bland, definitely don't recommend this dish. However I saw many others having this dish so many it's just my preference.

Cheap & Delicious Thai Food! Smile Nov 17, 2014
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Thai

Because their food is cheap and delicious, it wasn't a surprise that their restaurant was full house with a queue on a weekday night. Even after getting a table, we still had to wait around 45 minutes for our food! Luckily we weren't too hungry and the cheap yummy food made up for it in the end.

Kangkong

Kangkong

A simple unassuming dish of Kangkong. I ordered the non-spicy version and was expecting something bland, but that wasn't the case! I'm not sure what they added (I'm guessing there's oyster sauce) but somehow it was simple yet really yummy.

Chicken Basil

Chicken Basil

Stir-fried chicken with basil, this was really yummy too!

Tomyam Seafood Soup

Tomyam Seafood Soup

The tomyam soup was a little creamy, not sure if they added any milk or cream but it was quite nice. Very fragrant too, just too bad that it had loads of mushroom and two prawns even though it was supposed to be tomyam seafood soup.

On the whole it was a very good meal, will definitely be returning for more cheap yummy Thai food!
