Was walking past KOI today after lunch when I noticed their promotional board, advertising their mini yam topping! I'm not sure if mini yam topping has always been available or it's new, but anyhow, I was attracted to the board because I like yam!I got the normal milk tea but instead of pearl, it was the mini yam instead. I find that sometimes the sweetness of the milk tea varies even though I always order 50%. This time, the sweetness was just right for me . The size of the mini yam is about one third size of the normal pearl. It was chewy with a nice subtle yam flavour. Will probably order this instead of pearl next time

My sister was in the vicinity so she bought back some cakes for us from Cake Spade! I'm a fan of cheesecakes so I chose this slice for myself.Cake Spade's take on cheesecake is slightly different from the normal cheesecakes. Instead of a biscuit base made of digestive biscuits, this base was made from brownie instead. It was nice and interesting but personally I still prefer the normal digestive biscuit base.

The cheesecake itself was really rich, cheesy and creamy. It was really really good and if you like your cheesecakes to be really rich and cheesy, this is the one for you

Whenever I walked past their Orchard Central branch I could always smell the sweet ice cream which was always very tempting. I decided to try it out since the one at Vivo is near my work place. This branch has an open sitting area within the mall, right outside Golden Village.



I chose to have the Strawberry Banana Rendezvous, which is one of their signature creations. The staff scooped the strawberry ice cream and tossed it up into the air and caught it with her scoop, before transferring it to the counter top to 'cold-fry' it. Then, she scooped up the ingredients for Strawberry Banana Rendezvous which are frozen strawberries, banana, white choc chip and graham crackers, then proceeded to chop them up and mix them in into the ice cream simultaneously.

The ingredients were fresh and the portion was generous, and the ice cream was good and not sickeningly sweet. One scoop is pretty big so it's good for 2 to share. The bad thing is the ice cream melted pretty quickly... before I had started eating it had already melted a little. My friend's waffle was also soft and not crispy at all.

It was a hot and sunny afternoon hence we were looking for a drink at Resorts World Sentosa, when we came across this and saw that they had a set consisting of the Large Fried Chicken and a drink.

We got the Original flavour with a cup of sour plum lemonade drink which was really refreshing and wasn't too sweet and sour. We chose to have some chilli powder sprinkled onto our fried chicken which was served piping hot. The exterior was crispy and the meat/interior was really moist. Saltiness of the chicken was also just right. This is definitely much nicer than Shih Lin's fried chicken.. highly recommended!

My colleague was in the Tanjong Pagar and she bought back a slice of cake for me! This is their Strawberry Tofu Cheesecake. I expected it to be soft, smooth and creamy like normal cheesecakes, but this was more like a gelatinous mousse/pudding, with sliced strawberry and jelly at the top and biscuit crumb as the base. Even though this wasn't what I expected, but it still tasted pretty good! Overall the cake was quite light and refreshing and the sweetness level just right. Not bad at all!
