Porridge
Bee Hoon and Fried rice also available
The Porridge Buffet lunch has to be the most economical and cheapest around. At only $6.90++ (weekdays) and $7.90++ (weekends and public holidays) from 11.30am - 2.30pm, one not only gets to enjoy the wide selection of porridge dishes, but is also treated to variety in the form of fried rice, bee hoon and white rice. If you do not want to just eat porridge, these provide a great alternative. The food quality are decent and normal, you cannot expect very high quality food at such prices, but they are decent and good enough for a simple warm meal. The fried rice and bee hoon isnt really fantastic and was quite cold at that time, but still it was ok for me. I do like the braised dishes eg the braised egg, tao kwa, peanuts, and also the steamed egg, fried fish and curry chicken etc. are really quite delicious! Im not sure if the dishes change periodically, but these are the basic dishes found in a porridge buffet. This value for money porridge buffet is a major crowd puller for obvious reasons. Its cheap price tag is also the reason why my mum loves going to this buffet. Maybe the next time we will go try the steamboat buffet! This is a must go place for all Charlie Brown and Snoopy fans! It is indeed the cutest cafe, and the cute drawings on the wall and tables really makes one happier while eating! I have lots of overseas friends who are Snoopy's fans and they mark this cafe a must go on their itinerary! The cafe is small and outdoors, and it can get quite hot during sunny weather.

Very cute theme cafe
Cute walls and tables
Not to be missed for Charlie Brown fans
The cafe is fun and happy to be at but dont expect too much of their food. Food is average and expensive. The pasta is not too bad, but I can get better and cheaper pasta elsewhere. We also had the Lucy's Strawberry pancake, its superbly cute with the Lucy print on the pancake, too cute to be eaten! Taste-wise, it is very normal, not fantastic and just eating with a whole lot of whipped cream and some strawberry jam isnt so justifiable for the price of it! As we were hungry, we also ordered the chicken rice. The chicken wings looks so black and burnt, but they are quite tasty in fact. The chicken rice is quite nice actually! I would really think the food are quite overpriced for their quality, it may not matter to most because most of us are there for the cute Snoopy and friends, and just taking photos and chilling out at the cute cafe there is enough for some who is there solely for the decor and atmosphere!

Claypot rice
After adding the dark soya sauce
Yummilicious!
I love claypot rice and after trying many different stalls, this is the only claypot rice that is up to my standard and tastes, and of course needless to say, it is my favorite claypot rice stall!!! I have to say this is the best claypot rice I have tried, at least it is the best for me! I normally have the mixed claypot rice with chicken, chinese sausage and salted fish. The rice is superbly nice, fragrant and tasty, charcoal-cooked to perfection, I can never get enough of the yummilicious rice! The chicken is tender while the chinese sausage is soft and juicy, and the salted fish is just super shiok! The claypot rice are available at $5/$8/$10/$12 etc onwards depending on how large a eater are you and how many are sharing. The waiting time for the claypot rice during dinner time is approximately 40 minutes, I have no problems with the waiting time, afterall it is really worth the wait for such an awesome pot of claypot rice. Was in Bukit Merah Central to check out this new cafe on a weekday. The cafe is small, simple and plain, with not much decor. The cafe was quite full during lunch time with office executives.

They had a very value for money $10 Pasta Set on weekdays and also an Executive Set at $14.50. The cafe does not charge service charge, so all prices are nett. We chose the Pasta Set. Each set comes with a drink and a soup of the day or salad. Both of us had the Chicken Aglio Olio and Carbonara respectively and I chose the salad while my friend chose the soup of the day which is the tomato soup. The salad is normal while my friend liked the aromatic and thick soup.

We both had the Iced Tea which is very nice and refreshing! It was the right drink in a really hot day!
Iced Tea
The Chicken Aglio Olio is nice and slightly spicy, but it kind of tasted quite oriental to me.
Chicken Aglio Olio
I liked the Carbonara pasta, surprisingly it was very fragrant and nice and not too creamy as I had feared it to be. In fact, I couldn't stop eating my friend's Carbonara hahaha! Next time, I would order the Carbonara instead for sure!
Carbonara
In conclusion, the pastas are nice, flavourful and well cooked, and I particularly liked the iced tea a lot! For a meal like this, it is definitely value for money at only $10 nett. Definitely a good lunch choice and great on the pocket as well! Other Ratings:Taste 3 | Environment 3 | Service 3 | Clean 3 | Price 4 Recommend 0 |
This has to be my favourite korean family restaurant over the past years, I first got to know this place when it just opened not long ago, and it was still virtually unknown and not so crowded and popular like it is now. Over these years, the standard of food have not changed, but they have made some adjustments to their flavours. One example is the kimchi which used to be very very spicy, but in the recent few years we noticed that it was less spicy, they probably adjusted the spiciness to cater to local tastes. The complimentary side dishes at Togi are my favourite, very home-styled and to my taste, if I could, I can actually just order a bowl of rice and eat it with the side dishes, for they are enough to make me satisfied and happy! My favourites in particular are the potato salad and the anchovies which I usually have a second helping!
BBQ in process and the 6 complimentary side dishes
On a recent visit, we ordered the bbq pork belly and thoroughly enjoyed the super yummy and well marinated pork belly. The staff was there to bbq and cut the meat for us, very good service and well grilled too. Love the pork belly so much, whether eating on its own with our white rice or eating it wrapped in lettuce!
BBQ Pork Belly
We also ordered the potato pancake which is fragrant and crispy, our all time favourite!
Potato Pancake
The Kimchi jigae was fantastic as well, rich and cooked to the right taste, there are lots of ingredients inside the kimchi soup, including mushroom, meat, cabbage etc.
Kimchi Jigae
Together with the six types of complimentary and refillable side dishes, and our bbq, potato pancake and kimchi soup, we had a very full and satisfying lunch! Other Ratings:Taste 4 | Environment 3 | Service 3 | Clean 3 | Price 3 Recommend 0 |
