Tea delights Smile Jan 24, 2014

Categories : American | Coffee

After shopping around Bedok Mall four a few hours we were tired with aching legs and was a little hungry hence we decided to find a spot for our afternoon tea treat. Decided to chill out at Starbucks as we passed by and saw some of their lovely cakes on sale. I have gotten myself an orange juice as I wasn't a coffee addict hence no coffee beverage for me, as well a piece of White Chocolate Cake. The cake was moist and yummy, and it is not too sweet. I had a good time chilling out here.

It was lunch time and quite a queue here,we waited 15 minutes before getting a table.Iced water and orders were taken promptly. We waited for about 15 minutes for our orders to be served.I ordered the ginger chicken set with veggie tempura, fruit and chawamushi.I love the chicken meat as it was very tender and nicely marinated. The chawamushi was smooth and flavourful as well. The best was the tamago with cucumber and crabstick which was very appetising.

I was shopping in Plaza Singapura and was looking for a place to settle down to have some light bites. And this place selling a wide range of beautiful fruit tarts that are cake-like deeply attracted me.They are too pretty to resist and i had a hard time deciding which one to have. Finally I settled on a banana strawberry chocolate tart. It was beautiful and yummy, with just the right sweetness. I love the fresh strawberries and banana too.

Yummy Tze Char Smile Jan 22, 2014

Nice and affordable tchi char stall located on the top floor of far east plaza.I was recommended to come here by my friend if not I wouldnt know there are so many food stalls here on the topmost floor of far east plaza. There is no gst here and I ordered a hot plate toufu at $10 and another plate of thai chilli chicken also at $10.The items are well cooked and goes really well with rice. The thai chilli chicken was abit too spicy for me as I initially thought it would be those sweet and spicy thai chilli, but nope the chilli used is different here not sweet at all, pure spicy.Hot plate tofu is also yums with prawns, fish slices, chicken strips, mushrooms and egg tofu.

Besides selling croquette balls of various flavours, they have one of the best yumy value for money bentos here.I love their fried chicken bento that comes with tasty Japanese pearl rice and yummy potato salad at the side. They used to give 2 croquette balls of your choice but it has been replaced with potato salad which i loves too.The nicely fried crispy chicken was drizzled with mildy sweet bbq sauce which enhanced its flavour.
