I had my dim sum craving fixed at this dim sum restaurant located in Chinatown. It is within 5 minutes walking distance from Chinatown mrt station. This restaurant is less crowded compared to other dim sum place maybe due to the higher prices. 

However with the attentive services and awesome food quality offering, it's definitely worth every dollar spent. You can also spend your tai-tai time in this relaxing and cozy dining place avoiding those usual noisy dim sum place.

Recommendation: baked golden Liu sha bao, squid ink rice noodle roll, mini egg tart

I paid my visit to saveur during a weekend Sunday dinner. It's always crowded and long queue during lunch and dinner time. I was lucky to get seat because I was early for dinner around 5.30pm. They have a high tech reservation system with iPad setting. 

The place is quite small and the seating were quite narrow. But it's fine for me as long as the food are good.

The food offered are good and cheap. We tried their duck confit, angel pasta, and salmon which are all tasty.

The duck confit came with homemade mashed potato, sauteed shitake mushroom, orange segments & orange infused natural juice. It was perfectly done.

The Pan-seared sea bass came with saute potato with crabmeat, french beans & caper vinagrette. It was tasty too.

The angel pasta is a signature of Saveur's, pasta tossed with chilli oil, fine-chopped Japanese konbu
& sakura ebi with minced pork sauce. I love the taste.

Aston is my regular western restaurant if I want to have western cuisine but don't want to splurge too much. It always has a long queue but you may get seat real fast.

They offer good range of main course from beef, fish, chicken, spaghetti, lamb. The main course except spaghetti come with two side dishes which separately hot and cold.

I had tried their grilled dory fish with herb set with two side dishes. It was my favorite among all in the menu. The sauce is just well matched with the fish.

The another set I tried was teriyaki grilled chicken chop which was also good in taste. I like their macaroni and cheese and corn and house vegetable. 

They served food very fast even the place was crowded. It's like a fast good chain restaurant.

After viewing so much good reviews about how generous the filling of their bread offered, I decided to give it a try. 

I was planned to get my favorite pumpkin bread but unfortunately it was not available during my visit. I only able to get the matcha red bean bread on my last visit. 

As you can see from the picture, their filling is really generous and not exaggerated. The weight of the bread can show you everything when you hold the bread on your hand.

It is not your usual dim sum place which normally opening during morning til noon. Swee Choon located at jalan besar consisted of four shop in one row operated during night time from 6pm to 6am. Yes, it's perfect for night life people who want to have supper or dim sum craving. 

They offer good and affordable dim sum. The famous dim sum are Liu sha bao, fried vermicelli kueh. They do sell some tze char dishes.
