We chance upon this place while visiting the MBS Garden. The crowd is not too thick here, perhaps they are mainly catering to the tourist group.

The ambinence is great of course, as there's replica of the super trees (kind of) inside the restaurant. it even changes colours too - quite romantic acutally.

We order the noodle and hor fan. Hor Fan has wok hei - so it is really tasty. The noddle goes very well with the crispy chilli sauce. Not sure what's inside the chilli sause but it sure taste fantastic. It has bits for fried garlic and hae bi, so flavourful, so heavenly.

We also ordered the beef stew. It really surprised us it was so well cooked and the portions were huge, for a place like this.

Overall, it's value for money and the food is excellent. One of the best we tasted around Marina Bay Sands without buring a hole in your pocket. smile

Excellent Lunch buffet Smile Oct 05, 2014

Categories : Multi-Cuisine | Hotel | Buffet

It was a really relaxed afternoon for buffet. The spread is sumptous and covers a wide range of choices. The seafood section is great, especially the shells. It's my first time eating this and I think I am hooked - seems better than the typcial sashimi we used to have.

The pasta section is also great. Ambience is fanstastic and lovely. Ask for TWG tea to go with your food - it just added an extra class to the feasting. smile

Overall, it's a nice mix of mains and desserts. Their chesse cakes are fanstatic. Try also their lychee sorbert if you have room too.

Will be back next time in MBS...

Cheap, good, Ba Kut Teh Smile Sep 27, 2014

Categories : Bak Kut Teh

This place is opened by ex-onvict but you do not feel uneasy at all. These are all honest, hardworking chaps. They do not talk much (and smile) but their service is fast and efficient.

The Tau Kee is always are favourite. Try also the dry Ba Khut Teh - it's definitely our fav. Also, here, you can ask for unlimited refill of soup base for Ba Khut Teh. No question asked. The only concern is how much you can drink lah.

They have this Taiwan pearl drink that is very appetizing. We order it everytime.

We even have mister Teo Ser Luck behind us with his family dining here but we did not want to disturb their family together time. smile

Nice afternoon teabreak Smile Sep 27, 2014

Loved the place and the ambience. The food was great. We tried the mushroom soup and it's superb! We also tried the salad and it is definitely fresh and taste great with the duck meat. You can customize your choices here and go for the deals.

Not sure why this place is not crowded on a Sunday afternoon but if you are nearby and hate crowded places and wanted a relaxed time to wind down with great food and service, you can drop by.

The tarts here also looks great for dessert. We tried the Blueberry larvender Chocolate Tart for $7.50 and it is above average.

Will be back next time around this area for sure.
