We were a party of five and it was a good thing we made reservations.

For appetizers, we shared the PS caesar and the popular truffle shoestring fries. Portions were generous.

 

 
One of us had the catch of the day, which was plated quite nicely. Tasted good too.

 
For desserts, we shared three slices of cake. The double chocolate blackout cake, a slice of the lemon cake, and another slice of the chocolate daily special. The chocolate cakes were very rich and not overly sweet.

 

 

 
Prices were average between $8-$30.

Nice chilled ambience to have tea.

This new outlet of BreadTalk is in a corner of Zhongshan Mall, which is not difficult to miss the moment you enter the building from the side entrance.

Bought one of the cakes (matcha red bean) from their innovative cake selection and it was the same standard as the one we tried from another outlet.

 
Service was fast and there was a good selection of breads for a quick takeaway.

Balestier is full of food places and not to mention there are many stores just selling Tau Sar Piah alone.

I have been told that this particular store "House of Tau Sar Piah" is an old family business, so I decided to give it a try.

 
The normal Sweet & Salty Tau Sar Piahs are just average, but I really enjoyed the Red Bean one ($0.60). It was not too sweet nor too oily.

I might just go back for more. smile

Almost the only seafood restaurant on Pulau Ubin Island. It is akin to a typical "Zi Char" restaurant with ala carte dishes.

Their black sauce Mee Goreng was good.
Steamed Fish was very fresh.
Stir-fried Tofu Beancurd on Egg served on a hot place was OK.
Sambal Kang Kong tasted like any other normal ones from other "Zi Char" places back on mainland.
Steamed prawns were very fresh.

Verdict: Seafood was very fresh (as to be expected), and other dishes were normal.

Located on level 70 of Swissôtel The Stamford, this restaurant offers breathtaking views of the Singapore city scape, and decadent Modern European fine dining.

The mains were average portions which were nicely presented.

Prawns were well cooked, and the beef was tender and perfectly done for medium rare.

 

 
Would I go there again? Probably not, due to the price. I would like to have the chance to try other restaurants instead.
