Our group of 8 decided to try dinner at this River View restaurant, which is known for their herbal soups.

What we ordered -

Four treasures soup (individual portions at $12 each). Good.Prawns with salted egg. Tasty.Claypot Beancurd with Vegetables. Average.Stir-fried Long Beans. Good.Roasted Chicken with Fruit Cocktail. Interesting presentation, however chicken was a tad salty for my liking.Stir-fried Beef with Bok Choy. Beef slices were tender and nicely cooked.For desserts, we had Aloe Vera with Fruit Cocktail, and Red Bean Souffle. Both were good.Place was not full for a weekend. Overall average, and dishes were slightly pricey, but I can recommend having the soups which were tasty.

This hole in the wall is up in Novena Medical Building. It is a discreet cafe which you would not otherwise know of unless you explore the Medical Building linked to Novena Square 2.

We decided to head there for Brunch on a weekday and it was less crowded than on weekends.

Each of us had a serving of the Grande Breakfast ($14), which consisted of salad, bacon, eggs (scrambled, poached or omelette), mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, and two slices of buttered sour dough bread.Very tasty.

Service was good, and I loved the rustic ambience and plants, which reminded me a bit of PS Cafe.

Will be back to try other menu items!

This is one of my favourite Chinese restaurants for casual dining.

We decided to head there for lunch on a weekday.

First dish, we ordered Century Egg Sliced Pork Congee to share. Very good.Next, we had the Steamed Crab Meat with Egg White to share. Tasty.Then we ordered dim sum.

BBQ Pork Buns. Good.Salted Custard Buns. Tasty. I liked that the insides were still melty and warm.Finally, we had Red Bean dessert to share.I can already see myself coming back soon!

We were here for Lo Hei lunch on a weekday. It was packed, good thing we made reservations for our group of five.

First dish we had Lo Hei. This was average.Next we ordered dim sum to share.

Bo Luo BBQ Pork Buns. Average.Salted Custard Buns. Average.Prawn Dumplings. Tasty.BBQ Pork Pastries. These were nice.Braised Chicken Feet. Tasty.Serving of Seafood Fried Noodles to share. This was quite good.Fried Carrot Cake. Average.I will be back to try their other dishes one day.

We were just at i12 Katong and decided to stop for a drink at BreadTalk / ToastBox.

I ordered a glass of warm Barley ($2) and a slice of Macha Red Bean cake ($4.20).

Both tasted average.

Service was quite efficient, and there were enough seats both indoors and at the small outdoor area.
