After my dinner at Kim Chi restaurant, I wanted a smooth smoothie to cool my spice. Naturally, I walk into SmoothieKing which is a few outlet away. One of my favourite hang around cafe, great environment with friendly service using the pager beeper from www.antfi.com.

I had my strawberry smoothie after just 5 minutes. The icy smoothie filled with strawberry had overcome my spice immediately. I enjoyed the cup of smoothie in the restaurant at one corner until 9:00pm. Just love the ambient, felt like you are somewhere in Europe.

It was my first visit to KimChi Korean Restaurant.

The restaurant was very authentic - all the waitress are native korean. After I sat down, I had myself ordered my favourite korean dish Tofu soup and Tofu salad.

The serving is surprising fast. My order arrived within 5 minutes. The Tofu soup was considered okay not too fantastic - over recommended by chef. The ingredient within the soup is not well covered, I can hardly find any other ingredient other then tofu.

I'm more attracted to the Tofu salad instead. The tofu, lattuce and sauce were very well mixed and it is very stomach opening - I meant very appetizing lah.

Categories : Teochew | Food Court | Noodles

It is my 5-6th visit to this stall and every time the quality tell you why you want to go back to them.

It is very traditional teochew noodle stall, just basic noodle with fishball. For a dry noodle it will comes with a separate bowl of 5 fishballs as shown in my photo. The dry mee pok is just my favorite, they mix it with both tomato and chilli sauce - not just the color but it is very well mixed. The mee pok is well cook and thus remain very Q. I think more importantly is the fresh and big fishball. NICE.

The only things that they still need to improve will be how to enhance service queuing which is always very long. As I always like to say, customer is not just wanted to have good food but also good service. We may not mind queuing but there is always a better to improve queuing then just standing in the queue for 15-25 minutes.

For people who do not mind long queue, I strongly recommend this outlet. For the food, both thumb up!!!

It is nice to have a dessert hut in Raffles Place.

After lunch, it is a nice place to go for dessert. My recommendation black sesame paste, it is smooth and not too sweet. Highly recommended.

Only down side: too crowded and can't find seat at time.

Starbucks used to be one of my favour cafe outlet while shopping. However, I noticed that I have slowly and unnoticedly shifted my favour location to elsewhere. Depending on location, nowadays I tend to visit the following outlets more and more often without knowing why until lately...I finally realise it when I visited Starbucks before Chinese New Year with my clique.

Todays, I visited SmoothieKing, Cedele and Dean&Deluca more often instead while in the central district areas. Lately, I have found another nice restaurant near Lorong Ampat - Wheeler Yards, good and nice atmosphere but maybe a little ex.

Starbucks has always been a beverage attraction for most patrons and thus it is always very crowded. Long queue for order, long queue waiting for your drink and always having challenge looking for a seat. Wasted more than 30 to 45 minutes queuing and waiting for seat. I started to realise that how much I missed the innovative, environment and atmosphere that Cedele, SmoothieKing and Dean&Deluca bring to me.

I finally realised how much I appreciated they have enhanced their ways to serve us better with the small alerting or food pager (If I still remember correctly from the back of the pager, it is from www.antfi.com). It is so much convenient and relax when patronizing with them. The ordering took me only 5-10mins and I can relax myself to a seating site or run my little errand nearby while waiting for latte cafe.

I have seen other countries like Korea, Japan, Sydney and other, have adopted such technology but here it seems that very little outlets (other than those mentioned above) are interested to put a thought in serving patrons better. I really hope that we can catch up the rest of the other developed countries in term of basic service like the one I see above.

I hope to write more in the next coming weeks if there is something I need to share.
