There were very little tables in this cafe, they operate based on a high turnover concept. Even if you want to sit and talk with your company you will soon feel pressurised to leave and go elsewhere because there are too little seats in this cafe.
However, the meals were of good value, and i liked how I could takeaway my bun when i was full. Had the Tokyo Chicken Stew, low in calories, piping hot, generous with ingredients.

Good food Smile Feb 13, 2014

Tried a couple of dishes during various occasions:
- Crab bee hoon: crab was very big and they cracked open the shell to let the flavour permeate into the bee hoon. Bee hoon was cooked dry style so the flavour was not lost into the soup, for eg. Disadvantage- the shell was too thick to break open, was eating this at home so had to use a stone pounder to break the shell. $70
- Speciality pork ribs: nice but a bit sweet and has a lot of fat. Big servings
- Marmite pork ribs: couldn't really taste the marmite, it was just very sweet. big servings
- Seafood tofu: we enjoyed the generous servings of sea cucumber and fish maw for just $18. Nice and flavourful on a whole
- Sotong: serving a bit small, served with soya sauce and garlic. was ok

Dishes were a tad salty but on a whole very satisfying.

Good sushi promotion Smile Feb 13, 2014
Categories : Japanese | Sushi/Sashimi

We went for the sushi promotion which starts at 9pm. Offer is $0.80 for a pair of sushi for selected flavours. If you buy more than 12 pairs of sushi you get a free milk tea. This offered good value and was filling.
Pork sushi was unique but on the whole wont order it again at its normal price. Somehow the pork was not suited for sushi.
We enjoyed the tuna sushi, which was glazed briefly over fire, and it removed some of the fishy smell.

We also had some kind of fish on a satay stick with mango sauce- it was nice and unique. This was not part of the promotion.

On a whole would come for the promotion again, very worth it

CNY Dinner Smile Feb 13, 2014

Had CNY Set meal. (Lunar New Year Set Menu @ $ 1188++ Per Table (For 10 Persons)

Yu Sheng had a generous serving of salmon. Suckling pig skin was crispy. It was a pity that they did not serve all of the skin to us, they stir-fried the remaining suckling pig + meat for us. You could taste distinctly the suckling pig even though the meat was cooked with other sauces.
Shark's fin was nice and tender. Big whole piece of shark's fin was served Enjoyed the abalone dish, but my abalone was tough to cut with the knife provided. Abalone for each person was big
Fish was soft and tender rice, rice ball and nian gao were ok. the nian gao was not sticky and not overly sweet, so it was pleasant to eat.

Service was good, staff attentive, always helping us to change our plates and scooping individual dishes for us.

Nice food Smile Feb 10, 2014

We were first served bread with butter. The butter was seasoned with salt and truffle oil, making the appetiser pleasing to the senses.

Next I had the baked cod with saffron broth. The cod was fresh and soft. The saffron broth was particularly flavourful, especially when eaten with the capers and kalamata olives found in the sauce.

Also had their apricot juice- a generous serving, the drink was refreshing.

Will not hesitate to visit this restaurant again. Heard that their crab salad with chilled pea soup is their signature starter, looking forward to trying it.
