Misa Ramen

Misa Ramen

Read from review that it may be one of the best ramen here. Hence I decided to try it during their Anniversary offer for only $3.10 per bowl. The queen was long due to the promotion. I ordered the medium Miso Ramen. The soup episode rice and creamy and very delicious. The noodle is springy and a bit curly. I personally prefer straight ramen. It was serve hot which is good. Some ramen stall serves only Luke warm ramen. The ramen comes with spring onion, Japanese ifs cake, bamboo shoot and 2 thickly sliced char Siew. Overall a good experience. Will cone back again to try the Kara Miso ramen, which I hear is the best and most popular. I was coughing hence did not try the spicy ramen this visit. The view of the restaurant is also wonderful. Overlooking the Clarke quay river

Set lunch

Set lunch

Went to Yayoiken at Bugis plus for lunch. They serve Japanese set lunch and is value for Money. Their rice that comes with the set is refillable, eat all you can. I actually ate 2 bowl of rice during this trip. I ordered the fried Ebi and hamburg steak set. The hamburg is juicy and delicious. the set comes with salad with saseme dressing which is one f my favorite dressing for salad. They use short grain Japanese rice and authentic Japanese vegetables , cabbage for the salad. Comes with a miso soup too. I spent $12++

8 flavor Xiao long boa

8 flavor Xiao long boa

Most people will order the 8 flavors Xiao Long Boa, which consist of Foie Gras, cheese, Original, Ginseng, Black Truffle, crab roe, Garlic and Szechuan. My favourite is Foie Gras and Ginseng.
Drunken chicken

This is a cold dish. Chicken with Chinese cooking wine. The meat of of the chicken is chewy, I do not like meat that are too soft like fish and the cooking wine enhance the flavour of the chicken
Pork with garlic sauce

Pork with garlic sauce

Sliced pork with spicy garlic sauce. the pork is a combination of lean and fat meat, however it does not taste too fatty. It is boiled hence, the spicy sauce is needed to add flavours to the meant
Dessert

Dessert

Fried red bean pastry. It is fluffy like soufflé and inside is red bean fillings and coated with icing sugar. It is not too sweet and the red bean filling is made with real mesh red beans and not instant canned beans.

Went hi tea with my best friend at Dean & Deluca. The restaurant gives and very clean and chic impression. A place where you can sit and have a pleasant peaceful afternoon tea. We had Rainbow cake which is their signature. The color is vibrant and so pleasing to the eyes. I think most ladies will fall in love with the presentation of this cake. The taste is like normal cake but the color is certainly attractive. We also had lemon pound cake, the appearance for this cake is not as attractive as the rainbow cake but to our surprise, this is quite delicious if you like lemon. The lemon taste is strong and refreshing. The sugar coating on the cake makes the lemon not so sour. The combination is perfect. We also had scones, which is also very delicious we find. The crust is crispy and it is soft and fluffy inside. You can either eat it with jam, maple syrup or fresh cream. We also tried the brownies, I like the fresh crunchy nuts inside the brownies.
