Ice cream buffet Smile Mar 20, 2014

Good:
- Such a wide variety of ice-cream flavours to choose from! There is peppermint, oreo cookies and cream, chocolate, mango, coffee, strawberry, milo, caramel and so on. There is also free toppings at the side,  which you can add as much as you want!. The unique ones would be kit-kats and macadamia nuts for toppings.
- In addition to ice-creams, there is also a chocolate fondue station, where you can dip strawberries and mashmallows.
- Desserts like cakes, waffles and tarts are available as well. There is oreo cheesecake, apple tarts etc.

Not-so-good:
- The guilt in you increases the more rounds of ice-cream you eat! For those who are on diet, this buffet may not be a great idea, especially since you would not want to eat that much of ice-creams.

Overall:
Nice to experience ice-cream buffet for the first time. However, I felt guilty the more ice-cream I eat. Will drop by only once in a while.

Japanese buffet Smile Mar 15, 2014

Categories : Japanese | Sushi/Sashimi | Buffet

Good:
- All-you-can-eat ala carte buffet. Fiod is fresh and of good variety.
- Personal favourite is the complimentary mayo roe grilled prawns that we had at that time. The prawn tastes delicious with the mayo.
- The handrolls are good, especially the spider handroll. The softshell crab in it tastes crispy and not too oily.
- The sashimi there taste fresh too and you can order as much as you like.

Not-so-good:
- Located far away from any MRT station.

Overall:
Fresh japanese buffet. Will definitely return again in future!

Good:
- Ordered the mixed xiao long bao and they taste delicious! They even teach you what is the correct way to eat them.
- Also ordered la mian. The soup tastes fragrant yet not too salty, while the noodle is silky and soft.
- Comfortable ambience to enjoy dining.

Not-so-good:
- The queue is really long during meal times!

Overall:
Will return for the xiao long bao and la mian!

All-time favourite fruit tarts Smile Mar 07, 2014

Good:
Bought 3 delifrance fruit tarts for my girlfriend because she has always loved it. The crust(tart) is crispy and flaky, and together with the sweet and smooth egg custard, it matches perfectly well! Throw in the slices on fruits on top, you get a mild sour taste that goes well with the sweet base. Totally addictive!

Not-so-good:
These tarts get sold very quickly. It gets refilled only a couple of times at fixed hours daily.

Overall:
Will continue to buy these tarts for as long as they taste this good!

Sunday teabreak Smile Mar 04, 2014

Categories : Café | Desserts and Cakes

Good:
- Salted caramel icecream was a brilliant combination finely balanced between its saltiness and sweetness.
- Chocolate truffle icecream is smooth and holds a little bitterness on top of its sweetness.
-Waffle is crispy and fantastic when eating together with the ice cream.
- Great ambience with rustic charm.

Bad:
- Long queue.
- Cramped spacing in between seats.
- Not many carparks and not near the mrt station.

Overall:
Driving there would be easier. Would definitely return for the waffle icecream! Would also definitely recommend to friends since the desserts are fantastic.
