Early dinner to avoid queue OK Mar 12, 2014

Categories : Japanese | Ramen

Good:
- One can choose from 3 types of soup bases, as well as the hardness of the ramen. Additional ingredients can be added at extra price.
- Ordered the non-spicy soup based ramen with normal texture of ramen. The souo and ramen taste great!

Not-so-good:
- My portion of pork mrat was kind of tough and dry. The soup gets too salty after awhile.
- Ordered the special green tea cola which tastes just like normal cola.
- Prepared to queue for very long because there are very few tables.

Overall:
Not highly addictive to me in my opinion. Will drop by once in a while.

Visited the korean restaurant at Heartlands Mall in Kovan. Have always walked past it during weekends lunch and dinner time and always saw long queues outside the restaurant. Decided to try it for myself today. The restaurant itself is quite small with what seened like less than 20 tables. Ordered Spicy Grilled Mackerel, Korean Ginseng Soup and Korean pancake. The mackerel turned out to be spicier than i thought! The fish meat itself was not too dry and has a nice flavour to it. The korean ginseng soup was delicious. It was thick and felt as though it has been boiled together with many ingredients. The pancakes were the best! Mildy spicy, it jas kimchi flavour in it and the texture is perfect, not too hard to bite or soggy. Addictive! They serve complimentary rice barley water too. Overall, not too bad but a tad pricey!

Quick lunch OK Mar 21, 2014

Ordered the chicken baked rice and it was delicious! The cheese layer on top of the rice is well-baked, with some stretches in brown while some in yellowish white. The cheese remains very much semi-liquid and as you scoop up the rice, the cheese sticks together, making it difficult to break off. The rice is also served with tomatoes and broccoli, which makes it very chinese-style. The rice itself is a little hard and dry at times. Would be great to have some drinks to accompany this dish. Ordered ice lemon tea which showed some signs of being really homemade.

Good:
- Ordered Poulet Roti, which was actually roasted chicken. The chicken tastes fragrant and the meat was not as dry as it looked!
- Ordered mushroom with poached eggs. The sauteed mushroom tastes appetising and tasty. The topping of an egg makes it a unique dish.
- Ordered their popular tiramisu. Tastes fantastic! Spongy and smooth, this dessert is a must-have!

Overall:
Will definitely return again in the future.

Good:
- Their chicken cutlet with parmesan cheese tastes and looks great and appetising! However towards the end one may get a little sick of it. The fries that accompanies the chicken taste average.
- Ordered the chicken pizza as well. Not too hard and not too dry. The baked cheese tastes fantastic!
- Love the guava ice-blended as well.

Not-so-good:
- Prices are a little on the expensive side.

Overall:
Will drop by once in a while. Will recommend to friends though.
