Pasta cravings Smile Mar 09, 2014

Good:
- Ordered Seafood Tom Yum and loved it! It's cream-based but the mildy sour taste of tom yum could be tasted as well. At first it tastes weird, however it gets addictive as you eat along. Turns out that the combination is actually rather unique and great!
- Contains a generous portion of seafood as well, including squid and clams.
- Nice dining atmosphere.
- Many varieties of pastas to choose from.

Not-so-good:
- The price of the pastas seem to have risen over the years. You may not feel that it is worth the price, especially for simpler pastas like aglio olio.

Good:
- Ordered fish head curry. Quite alot of meat but the curry is not too spicy. Suitable for those who doesn't take too spicy stuff.
- The vegetables we ordered taste soft and great.

Not-so-good:
- Ordered braised meat but it wasn't oroperly cleaned in the sense that there were still many hair on the skin.
- Went to eat at 8pm and many of the things were already sold out.

Overall:
The curry fish head was more to the ordinary side. May not return as it is not exactly cheap.

Good:
- Ordered the aglio olio spaghetti. The portion is surprisingly huge, which makes you really full.
- Not oily and texture of the spaghetti is just right.
- Had friends who ordered pizza and they say that it was good as well

Not-so-good:
- Not quite spicy. They uses big chilli instead of chilli padi. Not perfect for someone who prefers their aglio olio to be of the usual spiciness.
- Not close to MRT. Around 15min walk from Orchard MRT.

Overall:
Will return again next time to try their pizza, since they are famous for it.

Good:
- Even if it was just for high-tea buffet, Cafe Mosaic serves a wide variety of international food that resembles a full buffet. There were japanese station (serving sushi), "live" station (congee, noodles and sliced meat), main station (serving the usual pots of chinese and western food), dessert station (tarts, cakes, ice-cream and even ice-kacang), salad station and even seafood station (serving sashimi, oysters and more)!
- The food served were delicious and fresh.
- There was even a kids-section to educate and entertain kids. On this day, there were cupcake-making session and balloon-sculpturing session. This keeps the kids engaged and entertained.
- Staff were prompt in clearing used plates.
- Value for money.

Not-so-good:
- Occasionally, some staff were over-enthusiastic in clearing half-eaten plates.

Overall:
Will return again in future. A good place to celebrate children's birthdays and for huge gatherings. Will definitely recommend to friends.

Chilling with friends Smile Mar 06, 2014

Categories : Ice Cream and Gelato

Good:
- Nice little place for chilling with friends after dinner.
- Had 2 scoops of ice cream to accompany a waffle. The After-dinner chocolate mint ice-cream tastes fantastic. The sweetness of the chocolate blends perfectly with the mild cool taste of mint, making it impossible for one to be sick of it!

Not-so-good:
- Not near the MRT
- Waffle is a tad smaller than what some other cafes offer

Overall:
Will definitely return again in future! Will also recommend it to friends.
