This cafe is just right next to KFC. And there are many people walking past you as you eat ..just for your information smile

We have only been there once. Well, food served is okay. Normal I would say. But presentation of the food is quite nice!

Have you seen clouds in your cup of beverage!? Well look! Here's mine.. this is my hot chocolate.

The marshmallow added some fun to a otherwise normal tasting hot chocolate smile

Next we also ordered some salad. Not too bad. Doused with vinaigrette!

And lastly, mushroom soup - served in a mesh tin!

If you need a place to rest your feed and some bites, I suppose this cafe serves this purpose smile

We went by Paddington House of Pancakes after dinner and shopping on a week day smile It was about 9.15pm when we stood outside waiting to be served. We were kinda suprised when told that they were about to close. Oh, but their last order is at 9.30pm, so that was still okay.

We went in and sat at a corner table. I always thought that the cafe is big but only realised it was the mirror that gave us all the illusion! There isn't a lot of tables but was okay if you go after dinner hours for desserts. I have seen and heard good reviews for the desserts on instagram so I have been wanting to give it a try!

There must be more than 40 choices of pancakes and crepes combinations listed on the menu!!! We simply have no idea where to start choosing from .

We decided on a stack of 3 pancakes topped with ice cream and some bananas after studying the menu for 5mins! There was this peanut butter caramel like spread to go with the pancake and bananas. Tasted really heavenly when eating all together!!

Here's a close up of maple syrup drizzling onto the pancake and ice cream lol

I posted this pic onto my instagram feed as well and tagged it with #makanhunt.

Guess what! It won me two Golden village movie tickets..All thanks to Open Rice for organzing this tag your food hunt! So yeah, they also gave me this cute paper craft which I had to cut, fold and paste . I can place the small pancake photo into the slot! smile

Erm, of coz my friend and I were wondering perhaps they can give more practical gifts like pen or food vouchers lol But anyhow, I am very happy with the tickets! We will go back for other desserts ..i am not too sure if the other food items are any good.. Perhaps can give it a try~!

It was our first visit to this farm! For more photos of the farm, pls take a look at my blog smile http://providence1974.blogspot.sg/2013/01/take-walk-at-country-side-bollywood.html

We have heard rave reviews at the bistro located at the farm itself . Since we were at the farm, of coz we had to have our lunch there smile We were pretty hungry and only realised we kinda over ordered when the food was served ..there were just two of us tongue

The curry chicken tasted good. As it is a wholesome bistro, they do not use coconut milk for this dish. The kangkong veg was a little too oily for my liking . Perhaps it's the use of sambal. Egg and chicken wings were quite normal to be honest.

Overall food here is decent.

Cafes these days are found in places you will least imagine but then again this trend has been on going for awhile so what's new ya?lol Jewel cafe's latest branch is at Rangoon road, just opposite the famous fish steam boat. Guess who is Jewel cafe's neighbour? None other than the elusive Liberty Cafe smile It's not difficult to locate the cafe. With Farrer Park MRT just 5 mins away it's really quite easy getting here.

We arrived at 6.15pm for our early dinner on a Wednesday evening. There was just a couple of tables that were occupied. The outdoor seats are good for smokers and those who wants to people watch (not much though as it is quite a laid back street) . We opted for indoor seats. There are about 3 tables (only one 2 seater and two 4 seaters) and we were led to the communal long table. Fine with us since no one has occupied it. We only realised there is a mezzanine when we looked up! Seems quite interesting..pity we were already half way through with our food.. or else we would have sat upstairs!

Anyway, we were served promptly and food arrived almost instantaneously. That is of course it was a weekday and the other tables were just having coffee.

My partner had an order of cappuccino with a pretty art. Not bad..no strong aftertaste.

We had a starter of Shio-Koji Octopoke . Now, u wondered what Shio koji is? so did we! So I googled-- Koji is steamed rice that has been innoculated with koji spores (Aspergillus oryzae) and incubated to allow the fungus to grow.Shio-koji is koji that has been fermented in salt . It is used as a sub for salt smile Shio-Koji Octopoke is a dish that is inspired by the Hawaiian poke. Instead of raw fish, cooked octopus is used here .Pieces of octopus are mixed with wasabi and olive oil, and stacked on top of diced avocado.

Next is beef stew in Guinness . There are carrots, potatoes and tender pieces of beef in a stew and served with two small pieces of bread. Intitally the beef tasted really good but the more we eat, the saltier it got.

Another food item we tried was the clams in white wine . Portion was okay but there were quite a fair bit of sand.. perhaps should take note to wash thoroughly. And like the beef, it was also quite salty.. Maybe we should stick to coffee instead and have our dinner elsewhere?

Ah well, it was still an ok experience . Maybe we will go back for drinks and burgers instead. It is also a bar! tonguesmilelol

Oh.. did I mention that the female washroom is lined with black tiles?!

the dessert set

the dessert set

Visited the Owl cafe with a friend few weeks back. smile It wasn't crowded on a week day afternoon and we like the decor of the cafe..simple and nice. As we had our lunch else where already, we decided to opt for coffee and dessert instead. Hence we ordered this dessert set which has 4 pieces of snacks . Starting from top left to right- tiramisu, choco cake, coffee cream puff and last on the bottom right is a osmanthus (桂花 ) snack. Quite interesting. Prices at this cafe is quite reasonable. The ice coffee I drank was nice but kinda too sweet for my liking even thou I did tell them not to put too much sugar. Well, I will be back for the food next time round smile
