Mango Pudding OK Jun 18, 2011
Categories : Japanese | Sushi/Sashimi

We were at Watami during tea time and it was fortunately not too crowded . I tried their mango pudding dessert and it was just average. The mango pudding was a little too sweet probably because of the layer of syrup at the top of the pudding. The pudding was toppled with passion fruit slices and some seeds from a dragon fruit. Service was alright as the staffs greeted us when we entered and left the place. They were quick to take our orders too.

Nice Desserts! OK Jun 18, 2011

Having seen their advertisement on desserts, my friend and I decided to drop by Watami for a visit. It was some time around the late afternoon when we got there and we were quite disappointed with their service. There was no one at the counter to attend to us and we had to wait for a long time before a waitress came out and took us to our seats. There wasn't many customers at that time and it was strange that there was just no one standing at the counter. I ordered a matcha tiramisu to try and it was yummy! The green tea flavors were perfectly mixed with the cake at the bottom of the cup. Shall try their other desserts in future..but not at this outlet anymore due to their average service. =/

Sweet Desserts! OK Jun 14, 2011

After clubbing one night, my friends and I felt hungry and decided to chill out somewhere for supper. We decided to try out this cafeteria as they had lots of traditional desserts to offer. I ordered a lychee shake that came with slices of grass jelly in it. The cup was quite tall and it costs me $2.80. Tastes different from the usual milk shakes as they used coconut milk in the drink. My friends tried their other desserts like seaseme paste and peach jelly dessert. The staffs were quite annoyed as we were their last customers and they couldn't wait for us to leave after eating.

Raisin Cream Cheese Smile Jun 13, 2011

I frequent this chain a lot as I find their breads cheap and yummy. There is always a variety to choose from, buns, rolls, cakes and pastries. I bought my usual- raisin cream cheese bread. The bread is soft and fluffy and there is a healthy mix of raisins to go with the sweet cream cheese filling. They bake their cream cheese breads daily and won't keep them overnight to sell again the next day. Best eaten fresh. The staffs are also quick and efficient in packing your breads and handling your cash.

Vegetable buns OK Jun 13, 2011
Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong | Restaurant | Dim Sum

There can be quite a lot of customers around the shop during weekends. I bought a vegetable bun to try. It tasted rather average but it looked quite fresh on first glance. The vegetable fillings were ordinary, filled with potatoes, peas, corns and carrots. Was quite chewy to bite on but the bread was quite sticky. The staffs were polite and quick in packing our buns into the plastic bags.
