crisp chicken OK Nov 09, 2011
Categories : Fast Food

Its been awhile since I had any fast food and so I decided to satisfy my KFC-cravings. Good thing that there was not many people in the afternoon around this area and I didn't have to wait for a long turn while queuing up. I ordered my 2pc chicken; 1original and 1 crispy. The chicken was warm and crispy and that made me feel like going home to cook my own crispy chicken. Nevertheless, it wouldn't taste as good as KFC's because we don't get the pressurized deep fryer KFC uses.

Buffet Lunch Smile Nov 09, 2011

Categories : Fusion | Hotel | Seafood | Buffet

My family and I are basically big eaters and we decided to try out this buffet after random sourcing over the internet. The cafe is located at Concorde Hotel with a very classic backdrop for an excellent meal. The spread includes peranakan cuisine, japanese and american delights. I was overall quite pleased with the food variety, especially with the fresh salmon slices. The service was good and the staffs cleared our plates efficiently. If you are wondering where else to have buffet lunch, this place is worth a try.

Matcha Tiramisu Smile Jun 26, 2011

Categories : Japanese | Sushi/Sashimi

I was back at Watami for my green tea tiramisu! The dessert satisfied my sweet cravings and I recommended it to my friends. The staffs were polite and asked if wanted any drinks like iced/warm water. I heard that there's a rewards programme going on. For each visit, spend at least $10 and you'll get a stamp. Subsequently, you may redeem extra meal vouchers. Sounds pretty good..seems like we should try their mains for our next visit.

Dessert Time! OK Jun 26, 2011

It was a weekend afternoon and we decided to have some desserts at Watami. This outlet at Bishan has very good service as the staffs were courteous and attentive. I ordered a coffee jelly dessert to try. The jelly had a subtle taste of espresso it wasn't bitter on its own. Together with the sweet cream of condensed milk and minty leaf, I thought the dessert was rather unique. It was fun to try out new dessert flavors.

Claypot Seaseme Chicken Smile Jun 21, 2011
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Food Court | Porridge/Congee

The food in this area is never cheap. It was during lunch hours and the food court was extremely packed. Fortunately, my friend and I managed to find a seat and we decided to try this stall for their claypot rice. Their porridge was probably a recommended specialty but we decided to try their claypots as it looked just as great. I ordered a seaseme chicken claypot which came with a bowl of rice. The seaseme chicken was tender and fragrant but there was not much meat. Nevertheless, the gravy was delicious especially when mixed with a hot bowl of steamed rice. This dish however is overpriced at $9.90. =(
