Cheap ice-cream at GWC Smile Dec 31, 2010
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Frozen Yogurt | Desserts and Cakes

This shop has been selling ice-cream for only $1.20 since I was in secondary school days. They also offer a wide variety of ice-cream flavor to choose from (sweet corn, yam, wild raisin etc). The staff are also generous in the portion they gave and it's definitely worth the money. I ordered sweet corn this time round and I am able to chew on bits of corn...yummy! Besides ice-cream, the shop also sells frozen yogurt and you can choose various frozen fruits to blend with.

Delicious Kway Chap Smile Dec 31, 2010
Categories : Coffeeshop

This stall is located along the same stretch with the famous teochew porridge stall (Night owls should know). I ordered a one-person set that includes a plate of pig organs, fishcake and tau pok and a bowl of kway. I love the bowl of kway as the stall owner used chinese herbs to prepare it. At times, I would go for a second bowl as the soup is very tasty! The pig intestine and skin was fresh and thoroughly cleaned. Both were very chewy and delicious. Given the price of $3.50, it is definitely worth the value chopstick

Desert on a hot sunny day Smile Dec 31, 2010

Categories : Hawker Centre | Desserts and Cakes

I went there during lunchtime and you can see people queuing up for desert at this stall. After waiting for about 10 mins, I ordered ice cheng ting for takeaway. The stallowner is generous as you can find chunks of jelly, long gan and gingko nut in it. The desert tastes yummy (not too sweet and not too bland) lol and it serves as a "fire extinguisher" to cool down my body on a hot sunny day!

Chillout spot after working OT Smile Dec 31, 2010

Categories : English | European | Steaks and Grills

I decided to meet my friends for a beer session and we visited this restaurant at vivocity. We picked an outdoor table so that we can have a sea-viewing experience. We ordered the salmon salad with wild rocket salad (we are salmon-lovers!) and wheat bier to pair it with the salmon. The taste of the salad was very unique due to the fact that they used mirin dressing and the salmon was also fresh and yummy! The beer we had was very refreshing and there was tangy and citrus twist to my taste bud. This is indeed a good chillout place for working adults to relax themselves after work lol

Categories : Steamboat/Hot Pot

When my family and I arrived at the restaurant, the entrance was packed with people waiting to be served. The staff then told us that their seating are almost full everyday so it is recommended to make a reservation before coming down. We ordered the basic set for 4 and shortly, the ingredients arrived at our table. The prawn dumplings, prawn and sotong balls were handmade by the chef everyday and I can assure you there is quality in them. For the meat, we chose lamb slices and for the soup base, we had pork bone and chicken broth. The handmade items were chewy and delicious compared to other steamboat stalls that give you frozen factory-made items. The lamb slices were "super" yummy after dipping into their own recipe's sauce which you can ask the staff to prepare it. After cooking all the items in the broth, we will able to taste the "sweetness" of the ingredients. It was indeed a wonderful steamboat experience in town and we will definitely return for morechopstick
