Bad wanton mee experience =( Cry Dec 31, 2010
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Hawker Centre | Noodles

I was feeling tired so I decided to takeaway this stall's wanton mee. The noodle taste "uncooked" to me as there is still flour smell in it. The char siew meat they gave is very thinly sliced and it was like eating meat with no flavouring. The wantoon is still acceptable to me as the skin is quite smooth and the meat filling in it taste not too bad. But I will still insist on myself not to revisit this stall again...

I went to centrepoint and decided to give this chicken rice stall a try as the chef used to be working for mandarin hotel's chatterbox. After finishing the plate of chicken rice, I began to suspect if the chef is really an ex-mandarin chef. The chicken rice is tasteless and lacks of fragrance. The meat is not tender and soft compared to other chicken rice eateries. The taste of the soup is bland although they have given me chunks of vegetables. I will give it a pass if I happen to be in orchard area...

Lao cheng popiah Cry Dec 30, 2010
Categories : Hawker Centre

It's located at the famous tiong bahru market but there's nothing special for the popiah. It's selling at $1.50 each. The price is slightly more expensive than others. Yet, it's just a normal popiah that you can find it from any other place. No unique taste and the skin is too thick. Wondering how the stall can survive at tiong bahru market which is famous in good food.

Chicken rice Cry Dec 19, 2010
Categories : Food Court

There's chicken rice, noodles, Malay food selling at the foodcourt. Spent more than 45 mins to get the hainanese chicken rice.. Sad to say that it's not delicious. The rice was cold and cannot even compare with $2 chicken rice.
The combo set costs $10.50 with dessert and vegetable. No drinks included.
If there's any chance for me to go USS again, I will not go to the foodcourt anymore.

Green apple green tea Cry Dec 16, 2010
Categories : Taiwanese | Bubble Tea/ Tea

Recently, there are many new stall selling bubble tea such as koi, happy lemon, gong cha...
The bubble effect make me forgot there's a hidden stall "outside" tiong bahru plaza selling bubble tea.
Sad to say that the sweet talk is not as good as any of the new stall. The pearls are not chewy and I would rather say the pearls are hard. The tea is tasteless as well.
