$2 WonderFood Smile Dec 05, 2010

Well-known ice kachang in singapore. The stall was being advertised on channel U's $2 wonderfood.(shi zai hao pian yi).
Their signature dish is the peanut ice kachang. The ice will melt in the mouth and you will have red bean, atap chee, jelly below the ice.
Besides the ice kachang, they are also selling other dessert. I will also recommend the ai yu bing. It's blended ice with jelly and mixed with the lime.
They are located at the tanjong pagar plaza market & food centre which is very hot and dirty but the stall are always long queue during lunch time.

Peppery Bak Kut Teh Smile Nov 15, 2010

If you like peppery bak kut teh, you should go to the ya hua.
The location neither near to any shopping mall nor the mrt station. However, it's always so crowded during dinner. The parking lots is quite limited in front of Ya Hua.
Most of the staffs are so helpful but there's one china auntie with very bad attitude. The boss and lady boss are friendly to all the customers.
The meat is tender and the food is very fresh. No worry about the freshness of the food when you see they are always full house during dinner.

Cod fish pie Smile Jul 21, 2010

When i first stepped in to the restaurant, the staff is very friendly and bring us to our table.
The location is good but the space is limited. Better make reservation before going unless you do not mind to sit at their outdoor seats.
Although i do not really like the garlic smell, i will still recommend the Hand-cut Thick Fries with garlic sauces. Spicy calamari is indeed hot and spicy, good choice for appertiser.
Ordered the cod fish pie as the main course. The fish is very fresh and without any fishy smell. Pie is so crispy and not too thick.
Sticky pudding is a bit too sweet. For those who do not like sweet food, this dessert is not recommended.

Yummy~~ Smile Jul 10, 2010

It's always very crowded during lunch time. The yong tau fu is all deep fried and mixed with their special mushroom minced meat sauce. The portion of food is very small. But.. i like it very much after first tried. it's not like normal yong tau fu which using the sweet sauce. Thick noodles with the special sauce is their "default" unless special request.
Eating at Singapore, long queue and crowded is always the signal for good food. tongue

One for one promotion Smile Jul 09, 2010

Categories : Restaurant

Ordered spicy prawn pizza and mixed seafood pasta. As they are having the one for one promo, we paid about 11 dollars each person. I found the pasta is a bit too small portion but is very tasty. The pizza is thin crust. Crispy but not dry. One more thing to mention is their customer service is good and I like the environment there.
