Bread OK Dec 31, 2010

Categories : Bakery

Cake history have a wide variety of bread and pastry. The bread is selling at reasonable price but nothing special. I ordered the floss bun and the potato bun from them.
The floss bun is too dry and hard. However, the potato bun is quite delicious. The filling is full with the potato and it's juicy( unlike the floss bun which is very dry)
There's lots of sesame on the potato bun and the bread is soft.

When my family and I arrived at the restaurant, the entrance was packed with people waiting to be served. The staff then told us that their seating are almost full everyday so it is recommended to make a reservation before coming down. We ordered the basic set for 4 and shortly, the ingredients arrived at our table. The prawn dumplings, prawn and sotong balls were handmade by the chef everyday and I can assure you there is quality in them. For the meat, we chose lamb slices and for the soup base, we had pork bone and chicken broth. The handmade items were chewy and delicious compared to other steamboat stalls that give you frozen factory-made items. The lamb slices were "super" yummy after dipping into their own recipe's sauce which you can ask the staff to prepare it. After cooking all the items in the broth, we will able to taste the "sweetness" of the ingredients. It was indeed a wonderful steamboat experience in town and we will definitely return for morechopstick

Healthy Burger Meal Smile Dec 31, 2010

I decided to visit the one and only r burger outlet near my workplace given the fact that their Ion Orchard's outlet had been closed down. I ordered the teriyaki chicken burger and an iced green tea. The drink was quite diluted as the staff put a lot of ice. But the burger was yummy! I loved the white and fluffy bun as it contains marine collagen that helps to stimulate collagen production. The teriyaki chicken meat was very chewy and tasty. I will definitely come back for more tongue

Categories : Hainanese | Chicken Rice

As you enter this stall, you can feel yourself living in the olden days. This stall is very famous for its chicken rice and that is the main reason why people keep coming back. They used to serve in riceballs but they probably changed it due to hygiene purposes. Nevertheless, the rice is still very fragrant. Next in line is the chicken meat. What can i say...this stall has the best chicken meat! The meat is very tender and chewy due to the fact that they used kampong chicken. You must also remember to try the meat with their own chilli sauce and ginger although the chilli taste kind of sweet. Who says you have to be in Hainan Island to try their chicken rice when you have one such stall in Bugis...tongue

famous tiong bahru shui kueh Smile Dec 30, 2010

Shui kueh is a common dish in singapore. You may find it in almost all the food center but Jian Bo Shui kueh is very unique.
What makes it so unique? It's their special "cai-bo". The lady boss is never stingy in giving lots of cai-bo if you requested for it. The kueh is so smooth and just like silky tofu. Selling at reasonable price at $1 for 4 pcs. Highly recommended for all the shui kueh lover. You will definitely like it.
