Tori Q at ION Orchard Smile Dec 15, 2010
Categories : Japanese

This is the first time i try the Tori Q at ION. This outlet is not like the takashimaya outlet which is always long queue but the food taste as good as the takashimaya outlet.
The rice they gave is authentic sushi rice (unlike other outlet) which is very chewy and you can also request lots of seaweed and pickles from the friendly staff. The meat is tender and mixed well with the special BBQ sauce. I love the chicken meatball stick as it is soft on the inside and crispy on the outside chopstick

minced meat noodles :) Smile Dec 14, 2010

The minced meat noodles at Sin Xiong is delicious. They give lots of minced meat, slice pork, mushroom, pork liver, pork meat ball. Sin Xiong is normally long queue during lunch time. The stall is handled by 2 guys but the service is fast.
The sauce mixed well with all the ingredient and noodles. The vinegar added is just nice and bring out the taste of the minced meat noodles.

Mushroom Chicken Pie :( Cry Dec 14, 2010

Categories : Singaporean | Kids-Friendly

It has been long time since my last visit to tiong bahru pie kia. My last visit to pie kia did not leave me good experience as the skin of pie was burnt and not crispy.
However, i decided to give pie kia second chance. I ordered a big mushroom chicken pie for my breakfast. As shown in my photo, the corner of the pie skin was burnt. The skin was not crispy and sticked to the aluminium. End up i need to use fork and spoon to dig the chicken and mushroom out. sad

Stir Fried Pork Smile Dec 05, 2010

Good and cheap food at kopitiam.
i ordered the stir fried chicken with mushroom and requested to change the chicken to pork.
The pork is tender and the sauce is taste good. It comes with the soup and rice and selling at reasonable price.
The soup taste like "sharkfin soup". (but there's no sharkfin inside)
It costs only $3.50 for a set meal. If you carrying the kopitiam card, will have 10% further discount.
It's definitely worth more than it costs. thumb up!

Herbal chicken soup OK Dec 05, 2010

Categories : Chinese | Food Court | Stall / Kiosk | Kids-Friendly

It's raining for few days and makes me craving for soupy food. Therefore, i ordered the claypot herbal chicken soup. Waited for about 10 mins to get my food.
The stall keep increasing the price of food. It's now costs me $5.30 for a soup with rice.
The soup taste good but seems like lots of msg added. Chicken meat is tender.
The claypot will keep the soup hot and good for the cold weather like today.
