Normal Hawker Meal OK Dec 03, 2013
Categories : Hawker Centre | Porridge/Congee

After bringing my two cousins to their Grandma's house, decided to head over to find some great food. Saw this stall that sells quite a variety of food, thus decided to try out.

Ordered plain rice, meatball, pork chop and sliced fish with curry gravy. Cost only $3.50, which is considered reasonable.

The portion is really big, but the taste of the food is so-so only. The meatball was the worst amongst the 3 dishes. Once I had a bite, don't feel like contiuning anymore. Nevertheless, the pork chop and sliced fish is still edible. What's commendable is its curry gravy. Its curry gravy is rather nice and better as compared to the normal hawker centre's mixed vege rice stall.

Pizza Time! OK Dec 03, 2013
Categories : Pasta | Halal

Was there for our monthly gathering.

We started off with some appetizers. Garlic Bread and soup of the day. As usual, its garlic bread is very crispy and the sesame makes its taste even better. As for the soup, it is served hot and the ingredients are fresh.

Next up, we ordered the criss cut fries and Hawaiian Pizza. Criss cut fries was rather normal, nothing much special. The Hawaiian Pizza was as usual, served with pineapple chunks and chicken ham, nothing much to wow about. Total we spent $40 for 2 person.

Breakfast @ Starbucks OK Dec 03, 2013   (Related Review)

Categories : American | Coffee

Woke up early this morning and thought of heading to Starbucks Tampines Mall for breakfast and at the same time, to serve the net and check some emails.

As usual, on a weekday at Starbucks TM its rather empty, you can definitely find a empty table. Placed my laptop and went to order my breakfast. Wanted to try out something different from Raspberry Cheesecake, so chose this Red Berries Chocolate Cake and my favorite Spearmint Green Drink.

The Red Berries Chocolate Cake was very normal, can't really taste the red berries, most of it are just chocolate and cake. $6.90 for that little slice of Red Berries Chocolate Cake is definitely overpriced. Still prefer my Raspberry Cheesecake,

As for the Spearmint Green, its one of the best Tea on the menu for me. Green Tea with a hint of spearmint, makes it a prefect way to start the day. Moreover, its one of the cheapest drink on the menu, $4.20 only and you get to choose from hot or iced. Total bill came up to be $11.10.

Dorayakis & Cakes OK Dec 03, 2013
Categories : Singaporean | Bakery

Was at Serangoon North Ave 1 to run some errands and once again patronized one of my favorite cake shops in Serangoon. This cake shop does not only sell cakes. It sells breads, tarts, jellies and also, Dorayakis! Always I will buy its Mango Cake ($3.50 for 1 roll), but I decided to try out something different this time round.

I bought its Dorayakis and mini cakes. For their mini cakes, its sold at $0.70 each, 3 for $2.00. You can choose from Chocolate or Cream Flavor. As for its Dorayakis, its just simply plain flavor. Whats special is that they have chocolate frosting and designs on top of the Dorayaki. Its sold for $0.80 each.

Salty Tau Sar Piah OK Dec 03, 2013
Categories : Bakery

Thye Moh Chan is one of the brands under Breadtalk.

It is specialized for biscuits, pineapple cakes and tau sar piah. Bought some of its tau sar piah to try, including its sweet tau sar piah and its salty tau sar piah. Ther were really tasty, the fillings inside are also very up to standard. One of its special tau sar piah is its cranberry tau sar piah which is rather sweet, but its quite special and and its a change from its traditional tau sar piahs.

These tau sar piahs are available in 3 sizes, small, medium and large. The one shown in the picture is the large size, which cost $24.80. This can be easily share amongst 6-8 people, the filling inside the large size and the small size is actually the same, just that the big one looks rather more presentable if you're intending to get it as a gift for someone.
