Went shopping in orchard area with my family. Happened to passby this small cafe just outside Heeren Shopping centre. They have promotional price for tea time. So we decided to have a try on their drinks & desserts as well. They have blended ice drinks. We ordered some ice blended (Oreo ice blended). I find that the drinks are not really fantastic. Too much ice.. However, their Snow ice with Mango is great! The mangoes are very sweet and they have a lot of mango sauce on top! The price is average considering the location is in Orchard area. They serves other food (such as noodles, dim sum) as well in the basement.

MANHATTAN FISH MARKET Smile Apr 30, 2012

My all time favourite restaurant! It serves good & yummy western cuisine! Best for fish lovers! This restaurant serves Fantastic fish & chips, seafood, pastas, soups, salads, side dishes, coolers & nice desserts too!. Do lookout for their promotions which is usually a good steal. I love their Manhattan Fish & chips (Served with hot thick fries, 2 big battered fishes). A classic dish (It is available in Dory, cherry snapper or Cod fish). It is not oily and its usually served fresh! They also have Manhattan baked dory in garden herbs which is a good choice for those who do not like fried stuffs. The fish is very soft and comes with the aroma of the herbs. They do have set meals as well. Try out their Mushroom soup. Their crispy white baits (silver fish) are so crispy and very appetizing. Their Manhattan mud pie is good too. It is chocolate rich with thick chocolate syrup. You will never get sick of eating it.

VEGETARIAN (FOREST DEW) Smile Apr 30, 2012

This is a neighbourhood vegetarian restaurant located in Bendemeer area. Parking is ample (just outside the restaurant). I find the restaurant very cosy. Moreover, it is not crowded at all. Great for gathering with family or friends. The food is nice. They have quite a lot of dishes that you can choose from. Highly recommended the Mango prawns. It comes with rich mango sauce and not so sweet. The prawns (made of flour) tastes great too. It may be a vegetarian restaurant, the food quality is quite up to standard. Tried their fried rice, hor fen. All tastes good too. Not too salty or bland. Moreover the price is reasonable, you can order up to your heart content. The beancurd is very soft with some soy sauce. Light dish. They even have vegetarian burgers! The service is quite good too.

XIN WANG HK RESTAURANT Smile Apr 27, 2012

Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong

A cosy HK restaurant with nice round Red cushion seats in a neighbourhood shopping centre. They serve Authentic HK food. There is toast, baked rice, zi char, noodles, curry, desserts & drinks. I ordered their instant noodles with Luncheon meat, egg & vegetables. It is quite tasty and very appertising. Try out the HK style coffee. It is not too sweet with strong coffee aroma. Their seafood hor fun is nice and comes with lots of fresh prawns. It cost around $13 per plate but I find it worthwhile considering the ingredients that comes with it. Try the mango snow ice. It is served with fresh, sweet mangoes and the ice is quite fine. For those who likes the food here can sign up for their membership as well. You will get $35 vouchers after you applied & an immediate 10% discount.

Categories : Japanese | Restaurant | Pasta

This is a Japanese restaurant that serves good pasta, pizzas, desserts & nice drinks. They have lots of set meals. Look out for the lunch promo. It ranges from $8.80-$15.80++. There is kids menu too. I love the set meals ($19.80++). It comes with pasta, salad, soup of the day, pizza & 1 soft drink). I tried their prawn pasta with carbonara sauce, salad, tomota & basil. Their lemon tea is very nice & refreshing. (Not sweet too).. The pasta is yummy. There are quite a number of fresh springy big prawns in the pasta. The sauce is fantastic with basil leaves. I lovee their salad. The mushroom soup is very creamy too. The pizza is good too. Most importantly, I like the service here as well. The staffs greeted us the moment we stepped in the restaurant. I highly recommended this restaurant to those who loves pastas & pizza. U can try their desserts too. The choc parfait is nice with lots of chocolates, fresh strawberries & banana too. Thumbs up!
