Firewood Pizza didn't impress me OK Nov 29, 2013

Categories : Italian | Hotel | Pasta | Pizza

Their ravioli presentation wasn't great but it was very tasty. The portions looked meager when it arrived but any more may have resulted to not being able to eat anymore. Good dish to order to share for a few pieces each. The cheese was very nice with the bread.

The firewood pizza which is supposed to be their specialty didn't wow me. Though they had 2 pages full of selections, it was hard to decide which ingredients to choose and try.

Their soup was quite worth it because for 1 order, the server asked if we wanted it in 2 separate bowls and it was filled to the brim. Only thing we were quite upset about was the waiter asked if we wanted garlic bread (which they charge you additional). If you don't order the garlic bread, they have bread on the house which comes with nice dips sad

The bartender was quite open with mixing drinks according to your preferences.

Curry Rice OK Nov 29, 2013
Categories : Hawker Centre

Came here due to Dr Tay's suggestion from one of his books.

They didn't seem to be used to people ordering small plates and sharing around a table as they seemed sort of flustered. When my mother asked if the curry was non-spicy, the lady said it's not spicy at all. However, even though it wasn't curry fish head spicy, it was still spicy to those who don't take chili.

I can take a bit of chili and quite enjoyed the slight kick in the curry, it's also quite tasty with the rice, however, the dishes were mostly cold. Not too sure how long they've been in the display.
They are quite generous with their curry gravy though. As a whole, it was an interesting eating experience but I didn't like the lukewarm food.

Hot Plate Smile Nov 29, 2013
Categories : Hawker Centre

We ordered two sets: Beef Steak (at $7) and Chicken with Nachos Cheese (at $6.00). The wait was a little long because there were others in line. If you sit close by, they will deliver the food to you smile

The food is served sizzling hot and the portion is enough to make you full. Steak quality was decent for its price and both portions was $13.00 total.

Quite worth it if you're craving for meat served on a hot plate.

Dessert on a hot day Smile Nov 28, 2013

Kiwi Juice felt freshly squeezed because it was sour in a natural way and there was not presence of syrup. It tasted really real and authentic.
Mango Pomelo

Mango Pomelo

This is a classic at Honeymoon Dessert in Hong Kong with the Mango & Pomelo blending together for a complimentary sweet and sour zest, however, the kick wasn't there. Why do I feel like something is missing?

The prices aren't very cheap, but still affordable but it could be that the atmosphere in the 313 branch doesn't give the exquisite feel that it does in Hong Kong.

Fishball noodles OK Nov 28, 2013
Categories : Noodles

For $4 a bowl, the food is edible, but not exactly a culinary delight. The presentation is not great, but it's an economical price for a bowl of noodles in Orchard road.

It was early in the morning so the stall had just opened up and the whole area was manned by one staff. He was quite flustered when I asked no chili & more vinegar, but he was still able to get the order.

I'm not too sure of the cleanliness of the place cause the counter seemed quite in a disarray especially if the stall had just opened. Their Teh Ice is decent though.

Spending per head: Approximately $4(Lunch)
