Scrumptious Breakfast Smile Jul 10, 2012

Categories : French | Middle Eastern/Mediterranean | European | Brunch

Their pastries were really fresh, so please do try them if you have the chance.

Do note that it does take a little while to prepare your breakfast but each dish and side is truly delicious.

The scrambled eggs was paired very nicely with the tomatoes and mushrooms. Though many breakfast places would offer a similar option, the taste was slightly sweeter perhaps because they may have added honey or maple syrup but your taste buds will truly enjoy it.

I'm not a banana person but the pancakes with the granola bits was a good complement. The portion was a little big though so I could hardly finish what I had ordered. I also added a plain yogurt on the side to complement the maple syrup and the dish.

Spending per head: Approximately $25(Breakfast)

Beef with Cheese OK Apr 18, 2012
Categories : American

Went there in the hopes of getting to try the Wasabi Mayo flavor that my friend was raving about, but alas it wasn't on sale anymore..

Got the Nacho cheese with beef as the combo reminded me of lasagna
Loved how although the fries were basically ready on the spot: they were steaming hot.

The cheese flavor was good but the beef's presence was easily forgotten due to the minuteness of the serving.

Small portion was good enough for the belly, even though it only cost less than a dollar to upgrade to the Large portion.

Recommended Dish(es):  Various Sauce flavors

Dou Hua Smile Dec 29, 2013
Categories : Coffeeshop

The place was a bit tough to find as the sign isn't very obvious. They are selling lots of bites for a reasonable price. However, as we wanted dessert after a meal and it was late at night, didn't get a chance to try it.

I did try the ha gao and it was rather decent, but I really want to try their onion pancake / shao bing/ or dan bing.

Ice dou hua is pretty much the way I like it- the dou hua is thick doesn't melt away in your mouth like lao ban dou hua. The sugar is already added in though, so you don't get a chance to customize your sugar level and might bit sweet for some people.

Recommended Dish(es):  Dou hua

Amazing Spread Smile Dec 17, 2013
Categories : Multi-Cuisine | Hotel | Buffet

Probably one of the most amazing buffet spreads in Singapore that I've been to considering the quality and diversity of the food was good.

You can scoop honey off the honeycomb to eat on crackers. Super sweet, delicious, and fulfilling.

The roast beef is one of the best done dishes offered at the buffet. I had at least 3 servings of it. Perfect with the sauce that's sort of hidden on the side, mustard, and sour cream-like sauce.

The bread pudding was a tad cold so it wasn't that great, and my first serving of the roast beef was sliced by a chef who didn't quite know how to slice it properly.

I had asked for less pasta on my pesto pasta but it turned out that my pasta barely had any pesto sauce to it and hence, tasted quite bland.

Sashimi spread included Tuna, Salmon, and Octopus--mediocre and decently fresh. Oysters were really good but ran out in the blink of an eye. Their mayo sauce with the fish eggs and scallops were really tasty though.

While you can order Coffee and Tea, you can also order hot chocolate smile
Their mango mochi was really yummy and their ice cream sorbets are comparable to haagen dazs standard.

Cheap Teppanyaki Smile Dec 17, 2013

The set comes with rice and soup. You need to pay before you can sit down, but they do cook your order in front of you.

Usually, I thought the chef will cook the veggies first, but they cooked the mutton first. Though the chef will ask whether you want chili or not, without chili, the mutton came with black pepper. If you're not fond of pepper, you may want to mention this to the chef.
cabbage

They add your food on the aluminum foil that they set in front of you which helps keep your food warm. The veggies (nai bai) were very nice and juicy and the vegetables felt relatively fresh.

Last was the beansprouts and I loved how generous they are with their veggies. It was overall a very satisfying, hot, filling, and tasty meal.

Teppanyaki for less than $10 per head? Yes, please.
