I'm a fan of Wanton noodles. Especially since I've stayed in HK. I was quite pleased with the noodle texture and how relatively Q it is with the way noodles are served in Singapore.

However, the sauce was quite salty and might be heavy on soy sauce. Would have liked a proportion of ketchup inside too.We ordered an additional portion of fried wantons. Wish there was mayo to dip it in cause it felt sort of dry. The soup was rather salty--don't make my mistake of trying to quench your thirst with itThe restaurant environment was quite big and it looks to be quite busy. There's a main store and another eating place just across the hall so I could see the foresee quite a busy crowd during peak dining hours. As we were there early, the shop owners set up a table in the hallway and asked if we could eat there. Problem with it was that the cleaning and the bleaching of the floors while we ate probably didn't help in the process of enjoying the food.

Came here for my mexican fix and I was quite pleased

The food is a little pricy. I think I about $9 for a chicken burrito.
Opted out of the guacamole since I can buy my own avocado and make it on my own, but I would like to see how much of a portion they'd provide.

Was quite full from the burrito and I chose sour cream and might have chosen the cilantro option too

The burrito comes with tortilla chips. There's a salsa bar within the restaurant where you can top up your salsa to dip your chips or even add it to your burrito. There are 4 different levels of spiciness. Honestly, I couldn't really tell the difference in some, but I'd say get a little and try each of the sauces out to figure out your preference.Hope that they have enough business to remain in Singapore!

I love mediterranean food and am still looking for a place in Singapore that has it at an affordable and authentic.

Went to Pyramid on a Saturday afternoon and was surprised to hear that Lunch sets were applicable even on the weekends. The place also offers shisha for those that are interested.

If you don't like beans and lentils, you may not enjoy the food so much. But for me, it was really quite a good fix.

I was sad to hear that baba ghanoush wasn't available (egg-plant based dish), so I ordered hummus instead. Hummus is composed to chickpeas. It went very well with the bread that came along with the dish.The main course came with a lentils soup that was served hot. Give it a try if you never had lentils before, it was rather pleasant.Hisbiscus Juice that's supposed to help lower your blood pressure. I think those that are familiar with Chinese Tea may find this drink familiar. It wasn't very sweet so it definitely felt 'good for you'
This was the main course in the lunch set that were had chose mutton. It was a little too well done as I didn't really taste the juice of the meat

For a party of two, I was filled up by the carbs and beans in the meal to about late evening.
Wouldn't mind going back there again.
Wish there were more choices for the lunch sets though!

Make sure you clarify your order with the server and ask what is and isn't included in the set menu so there isn't any miscommunication

I'm quite crazy and particular about ice cream.
Don't really like the super sweet type or those offered at those mom and pop stores near the bus stops or under the HDB flat.

Anderson's and Ben & Jerry's are also not my cup of tea.

I prefer Haagen Dazs and those home-made or freshly made ice creams.

I heard of Tom's Palette from an article I read that mentioned how there were unique flavors offered there. The few times I went there, there were always different and special flavors. During the Chinese New Year period, they even had seasonal flavors like Red Dates or Lotus..

What made me want to go there was that they offered Tea flavors. In the picture provided, I chose a Earl Grey Tea and Pink Guava combo. The staff there was spectacular and patient for everyone who wants to try flavors and they understand that there's a lot of flavors to choose from. They are also very generous and really pack the icecream in the size that you choose. It's great that with a small at $3.20 you can get plenty of icecream. It is relatively sweet though, so you may want to choose flavors that compliment one another.

I'm not quite sure why, but I have yet to eat Ru Rou fan outside of Taiwan which is spot on what I'm used to in Taiwan. The closest I've gotten to it is Lai Lai's Ru Rou Fan, but even then the fat balance is a little too much. However, the taste is there

A slightly healthier craving would be the Ru Rou Fan at Xiao Bar WangThe package may look small, but it's rather filling. For the price you pay for it, it's considered a cheap meal in OrchardThe meat pieces are not loaded with fat, and the veggies is a nice balance. Wish they had a little more sauce though, but the eggs are decently done.

In my opinion, their Oyster Mee Sua cannot come close when compared with Shilin, however, their Yan Shu Ji (Fried Chicken seasoned with Pepper and Salt) actually wins Shilin.
