Best Fries Forever  Cry Apr 20, 2012
Categories : American

Spent $4.20 for a "regular" (relatively small) cup of Best Fries Forever's Macho Cheese, this is quite pricey. I was quite disappointed as the fries didn't look appetizing at all, it was dark brown in color and were all soggy. It taste-wise, these straight cut fries with the skin on, are just average. However, with the accompanying sauces, are pretty good, and really improve the overall taste of the fries.

Spending per head: Approximately $4.20

The asian kitchen is the mid-range chinese chain restaurant that could be found at shopping malls such as NEX, Ion Orchard.

Taiwanese braised pork rice: The rice was so fragrance with the special sauce on it. This is essentially for a single person’s portion. Overall it was quite good though lol

The chef recommended plum sauce duck : Was quite a good one. The skin of the duck was crispy. With the a little sour plum sauce on it to enhance the taste of the duck. However, it seemed to be a little bit oily as I actually took a layer of oil out first before I consume it.

Recommended Dish(es):  Taiwanese braised pork rice

Spending per head: Approximately $15(Lunch)

Aoba Hokkaido Ramen OK Apr 25, 2012
Categories : Japanese | Restaurant | Ramen | Kids-Friendly

Went to Aoba Hokkaido which is located at Ion Orchard yesterday with my friends. Ordered these dishes:

Ordered some appetizers such ar agedashi tofu and japanese fried chicken. Bothe taste delicious but as a tofu lover i prefer the agedashi tofu.

Main dish: Kimchi Soup Ramen. The soup was quite spicy. The ramen was very spongy and chewy!! The Kimchi soup ramen had a very complex mixing of flavour combined in one bowl. Overall it is nice and worth the price. Do make a trip down to try their food!! chopstickchopstick

Spending per head: Approximately $25(Dinner)

Just Acia OK Apr 25, 2012
Categories : Multi-Cuisine | Noodles

Went to Just Acia on last Sunday. Just Acia offers a mix of Asian cuisine – Japanese, Korean and Chinese. I ordered this Kimchi beancurd udon soup set ($8.90).

The kimchi soup base was good as it was spicy enough for me. However, the ingredients inside are quite little as it only has beancurds and vegetables. The udon is a little bit over cooked as it was a little bit too soft for me. However, it is still worth the price because they provide free-flow of ice-cream and beverages. Despite a bustling crowd, service at Just Acia was surprisingly fast.

Spending per head: Approximately $8.90(Lunch)

Timbre OK Apr 25, 2012

Timbre is always a perfect place for chilling out with friends or family. The ambience was good with nice music. Ordered their duck pizza which always up to standard for thin crusts.

The duck pizza had these cracker-like flakes which added much texture to the pizza!!lollol The amount of duck used was quite little I felt, like it was just a thin shred of duck meat used all over the pizza. I think they could have used a little more duck so that with every mouth you chunk into, you'll get a bite of duck. Nevertheless, it was still a worth trying dish if you are happen to be at timbre.
