Koi Smile Apr 26, 2012
Categories : Taiwanese | Bubble Tea/ Tea

Koi is always the most famous bubble tea among Singaporeans. Bought Koi yesterday at Iluma since the queue was not that long compared to other days. Pearl Milke Tea ($2.4): personally love the pearls because it is different from others as it is small pearls. Besides that, the pearls are spongy. Besides that, the milk tea was strong and fragrant. The good thing is you get to choose your own sweetness level which depends on your preference. I normally choose 50%.

Spending per head: Approximately $2.40(Tea)

The asian kitchen is the mid-range chinese chain restaurant that could be found at shopping malls such as NEX, Ion Orchard.

Taiwanese braised pork rice: The rice was so fragrance with the special sauce on it. This is essentially for a single person’s portion. Overall it was quite good though lol

The chef recommended plum sauce duck : Was quite a good one. The skin of the duck was crispy. With the a little sour plum sauce on it to enhance the taste of the duck. However, it seemed to be a little bit oily as I actually took a layer of oil out first before I consume it.

Recommended Dish(es):  Taiwanese braised pork rice

Spending per head: Approximately $15(Lunch)

Seoul Garden food are always so yummy as usual!! They even provide student buffet meal on weekdays which suits me well. The price of the buffet is affordable and worthy. There are wide varieties of buffet options ranging from teriyaki beef to the seafood choices such as squid, cockles, prawns, garlic chicken, vegetables, salad. They even provide cooked food. There are three type of soup base for you to choose from which are tom yam, herbal chicken soup. Specially love their self-grilled chicken with their different choices of sauce. It is really yummylicious!! lollol

Besides that, there are free-flow of icre-cream and beverages for you to choose from!!

Spending per head: Approximately $20(Lunch)

Ramen Play Smile Apr 25, 2012

Categories : Japanese | Restaurant | Ramen | Kids-Friendly

Strongly recommended by a friend of mine who tried the RamenPlay outlet in Junction 8 @ Bishan. They sell a variety of ramen and bimbibap.

Tried this popular Sanpou Ramen.

The ramen consists of three treasures of toroniku which are braised pork cheek, braised pork belly in char siew sauce and braised pork belly in special sauce. This hearty Tonkotsu ramen is garnished with black onion sauce to enhance its wholesome flavour. The taste is great. The pork is being cooked perfectly so as the ramen was spongy and chewy. Everything goes well with the combination of braised pork and ramen with the soup.

Spending per head: Approximately $15(Dinner)

Aoba Hokkaido Ramen OK Apr 25, 2012
Categories : Japanese | Restaurant | Ramen | Kids-Friendly

Went to Aoba Hokkaido which is located at Ion Orchard yesterday with my friends. Ordered these dishes:

Ordered some appetizers such ar agedashi tofu and japanese fried chicken. Bothe taste delicious but as a tofu lover i prefer the agedashi tofu.

Main dish: Kimchi Soup Ramen. The soup was quite spicy. The ramen was very spongy and chewy!! The Kimchi soup ramen had a very complex mixing of flavour combined in one bowl. Overall it is nice and worth the price. Do make a trip down to try their food!! chopstickchopstick

Spending per head: Approximately $25(Dinner)
