Delicious cheap sushi!  Smile Jul 29, 2012
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Japanese | Sushi/Sashimi

At just lower than $4 per pack, this outlet sells quite a bit of sushi ranged at fairly reasonable prices. Each sushi is wrapped with egg, cucumber and seaweed and sprinkled with roe or sesame seeds. The sushi was served slightly chilled and taste best dipped in soy sauce and wasabi. The rice is well cooked and soft and not too salty and melts in your mouth. The cucumber and egg slices wrapped inside each rice wrap was not too small and blended well with the boiled rice. Overall a nice box of sushi! smile

Creamy mushroom soup! Smile Jul 29, 2012   (Related Review)

For $3 a bowl, this bowl of mushroom soup is rich, creamy and thick. Each serving has a generous serving of soup and mushroom and the best part is you can scoop the soup for yourself! The soup though rich is not too creamy and taste good dipped with the small buns that are sold alongside the mushroom soup. The taste of mushroom is not too overpowering and the creamy milk added to the soup was quite a good proportion and hence I liked it a lot. Overall quite a nice bowl of soup! smile

Pearl Milk tea  OK Jul 29, 2012

Categories : Taiwanese | Bubble Tea/ Tea

For slightly more than $2 per cup, this ding cha is a relatively new brand of bubble tea in town. I decided to try its recommended and popular drink of pearl milk tea which refers to pearls in milk tea and I chose a sugar level of 25%. The milk tea is ok to drink with a taste and blend of tea and milk. However I found the milk taste a tad too over powering and the tea taste a little lacking. 25% sugar level made the drink not too sweet and i liked that. As for the pearls they were chewy and quite a generous portion of them as well. Good to try for the first time though it wasn't my favourite cup of milk tea. mad

Healthy Soy Ice cream cone  Smile Jul 29, 2012
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Singaporean

For just $1.50 each, this ice cream is soy milk flavoured and has a rich taste of soy bean it. Unlike other ice cream, this soy bean milk ice cream is definitely a lot healthier than them. the ice cream is soft and fluffy and melts in your mouth. Unlike some ice cream which melts really quickly, this ice cream is quite solid and doesn't melt that quickly. The cone is crispy and not too burnt. If you would like a cup of ice cream rather than cone, the price would be slightly higher by a few cents. but generally a delicious after meal snack which is not too filling or too sweet! tongue

For $2.50 per cup, this cup of oolong milk tea was absolutely delicious! The oolong tea has a strong taste of tea and it tasted really refreshing especially drank in a hot day. The sugar level chosen was 50% and I felt that that was a good amount of sugar because he sugar doesn't cover the taste of the oolong tea and it is not too sweet! The milk froth on top of the tea was really fluffy and nice and blend well with the oolong tea! Other than the alisan tea, this drink is also recommended amongst tea lovers! lol
