Sour Beef Steak OK Jul 29, 2010
Categories : Bakery | Café | Desserts and Cakes | Brunch

Ordered the Strawberry Beef Steak for dinner and a pot of relax tea. The beef steak is serve medium cooked such that one bite and the xhewy texture simply blended with the strawberries in my mouth. Two words: soft and tender. Girlfriend ordered a peanut butter fish dish which was quite unique. She was already halfway through it before I managed to take a decent photo of it. Shall come back again and get that peanut butter dish for myself. Grab a picture for you guys next time.

Milk Tea OK Jul 23, 2010
Categories : Japanese | Fast Food | Ice Cream and Gelato | Burgers and Sandwiches

MOS is the all-tome fave for my secondary sch days because of the MILK TEA!
Til now, nowhere even goes near MOS milk tea(S$2.45).

This is a MUST try whenever you are at any MOS outlet and also ask for extra milk. Usually they will give two cup-lets but I will ask for 4!
You can actually taste the tea but its the milk aftertaste that makes you rem the taste and wanna go for more.

Another of my fave is the ebi chicken rice burger(S$3.70). The rice burger is soft and sticky and you can see the steam when served hot. The fish is served with a special sauce which will make me rem the taste.

You can also try their other rice burgers.
However, goes there when you are not hungry because their burgers are usually small.

Fresh, soft bread but small Smile Jul 21, 2010

Was walking around and saw this small pathetic little bread(called wassant) outside the shop.
And it actually cost $6 for 10 pcssad Got to be some kind of 'atas' breakfast for the 'atas' people.

Hence that day, I decided to be 'atas' for ONE DAY and bought two packets - chocolate and cream - doubly 'atas' lol

The bread is actually very soft and fluffy! Simply just melts in your mouth and releases the cream and chocolate flavour. Can taste quality and not overly-flour-ed. However, my vote still goes to the chocolate wassant.

My 'atas' status just lasted for 2 hours. tongue

Black, Oily, Tasty OK Jul 05, 2010
Categories : Food Court

I always ta-pao the carrot cake here for supper. My gf loves it too. Although it's a tad oily, this is a comfort food at it's best served piping hot with the light garnishing of spring onions or chye-poh. I think the carrot cake here has a good balance of steamed minced radish and flour. chopstick Some carrot cake elsewhere taste more like flour cakes. Bluek. Anyway if you are in Chua Chu Kang and is looking for a plate of snack to share with a friend, I would recommend a plate of black oily carrot cake. Find a way to work off the calories later. tongue

Smooth steamed chicken rice OK Jul 03, 2010
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Hainanese | Coffeeshop | Chicken Rice

This restaurant used to be located at Tanglin halt area before moving to Clementi. Great because it is now nearer to the west! Hehe Went there for lunch with my gf and she was raving about the Fried Ngor Hiang there. I have to agree with her. It's crispy and had a good bite/flavour. It went really well with mayonnaise. Anyway the smooth steamed chicken was ok though the rice was a tad oily.
