Tender Beef Steak Smile Jul 25, 2010

Decided to try Pepper Lunch after hearing so much from my friends.
And ordered

Hamburger Steak with Egg (S$11.90)

And it turned out to be teppan style.
It contains fresh bean sprouts, beef steak and egg on a sizzling hot plate.
Pepper is a must add as it makes the different!
The fresh pepper power enhances the taste of the fresh juicy bean sprouts.
The beef steak is soft and tender and juicy! With pepper, it becomes heaven.
The set comes with rice to go with the hot plate.

PS: Rem to get your table number while ordering lol

While shopping at vivocity, we do not know what to eat for lunch. After going through the directory, we still ended up at Thai Accent =p
Just the both of us, we ordered
Tom Yam(again) – S$9.90
Baked Honey Pork Ribs - S$14.90
Mango Salad with Cashew Nuts - S$9.90

Baked Honey Pork Ribs is another all-time fave for me. Nicely baked in honey and the meat is so soft, one lick and it will melt off from the bone and slip down my throat! Its a waste that everytime I fail to mouth the meat longer just to get the fragrant last! lol
The Mango Salald is too sour for my liking. But it’s a hit for my wifey. The thai sauce in the veg salad create a pungent strong enough to ward off all spirits. Lol. For sour fans, you can give this a try =)

Old School Delicious Chicken Rice Smile Jul 24, 2010

Categories : Hainanese | Chicken Rice

Was recommended by a friend of mine, wifey and I decided to try it out.

The chicken comes in half or one whole chicken. Go for the white-skin chicken was its the top choice. The meat is tender, but most importantly, the skin is smooth and silky.

Try the Fu Rong Egg. It is a mix of fried egg with vegetables. It is very delicious when served hot but depending on the mood of the cooks, I was sometimes given wet fu rong egg which is not nice.

Rem to ask for their free chicken soup to go with your meal.

They also do serve steamboats for those into hotpots.

Their price is very reasonable and there will alway be this old man at the couonter using abacus to calculate your bill. How old school is that?

Milk Tea OK Jul 23, 2010

MOS is the all-tome fave for my secondary sch days because of the MILK TEA!
Til now, nowhere even goes near MOS milk tea(S$2.45).

This is a MUST try whenever you are at any MOS outlet and also ask for extra milk. Usually they will give two cup-lets but I will ask for 4!
You can actually taste the tea but its the milk aftertaste that makes you rem the taste and wanna go for more.

Another of my fave is the ebi chicken rice burger(S$3.70). The rice burger is soft and sticky and you can see the steam when served hot. The fish is served with a special sauce which will make me rem the taste.

You can also try their other rice burgers.
However, goes there when you are not hungry because their burgers are usually small.

ice-cream Smile Jul 21, 2010

Went there for a birthday treat and a glutton like me never knew that there was an Udder Outlet in Bukit Timah!

Went there on a Fri late evening for supper and it TOTALLY PACKED! Everyone is there just for the ice-cream.
Even though I have heard about Udders, but it’s my first time there to taste their ice-cream.
They actually let you try their ice-cream before you decided. Hm.. wonder if I can try again, and again, AND AGAIN? =D This is the type of service I like even though it may slow down the whole ordering process.
After trying til we were half-full, we decided to “re-try” some of their best-sellers
Durian(Mao Shan Wang)
Tiramisu
Fruity Strawberry
Choya Lime Umeshu Sorbet

My best for the best is definitely the Mao Shan Wang for personal reasons. Tiramisu is not far behind followed by Fruity Strawberry.
Choya Lime Umeshu is nice and unique but not to my liking as its far too sour for me. Not surprising my wifey loves it. That’s the reason why we opposite attracts =D

They also do serve ice-cream with waffles. Will surely return for them!
