328 Katong Laksa Smile Jun 06, 2012

This is a good one, im a laksa lover, have tried numerous type of it
and i still prefer this one.

Located near the road side of east coast road, parking can be issue on weekends.

Love the thick, rich, aromatic of the laksa gravy with juicy prawns, cockles, slices
of fish cakes cooked to perfection! Not to mention the noodles, it was somehow cut to shorter length for easy dining. The only laksa that you dine without using a pair of
chopsticks. Local folks should know that. So remember don't feel puzzled if it was being served
without it.

Oh ya, i bet the regular bowl is quite not enough for a big eater, might consider to upsize your
bowl and of cos at a price!

Beef Noodles worth a try Smile Jun 06, 2012

I'm quite a regular there as the stall is near my house. despite of the higher size of the pricing,
i still like their dry beef noodle with beef balls the best.

The thick, rich gravy is topped with salted mustard vegetables, chinese parsley & grounded peanuts.
with added a bowl of soup. Noodles are soak and cooked at right timing to a springly and QQ taste.

You can order soft drinks or their homemade beverage like barley to go with your meal.

HIghly recommended for nice beef noodles lover.

Not so fantastic OK Jun 04, 2012

Been there for a couple of times, i can say although this prawn mee is still not the best yet,
but after so many prawn mee i have tried out there, i still give it a recommendation.

Soup base are rich and full of the prawn and bak gut essence. Not too oily, but prawns are
cut into halves and getting smaller and smaller over the years....

The price is high compared to a normal serving of prawn mee at other coffee shop.

You can also order the fried 'wu xiang' that is just beside the prawn mee stall.
Try to avoid peak hours and usually it can be very packed during weekends.
Go in the morning if u wanted a good seat and away from the crowd.

Late Lunch Dining @Bakerzin Smile Jun 04, 2012

Categories : Bakery | Restaurant

Having our late lunch dining at Bakerzin @My village in Serangoon Gardens.
Brought the voucher online for the clayfish spagetti. It was served in quite a huge portion
with 6pcs of halves clayfish. The noodles are up to standard, but it would be best if the clayfish
are fresher. Frankly speaking, it will not be worth the usual price of $56 if not for the 1/2 priced
voucher.
We also add in a few bucks for a float and a choice of your cake. The cake tastes smooth
and melt in your tongue with a pinch of chocolately and mint flavour.

Not a bad place to hang out with friends for a good afternoon tea. Expect to pay a little bit
more if you are dining a full course of meal there.

Categories : Singaporean Chinese | Restaurant | Bak Kut Teh

smileThis is the best bak Kut Teh i have even tried so far. I always ordered the mixture
on my regular visit. Soup base is not over peppery which is suitable for me, as i don fancy too spicy soup base. Not to mention their wide range of side dishes
offered like youtiao, phoniex claws, braised peanuts, salted mustard veg, braised beancurd, etc

Must try!!!
