This is another one of my eat from young store.

I really like the sweet sauce and the generous amount of sesame seed they put on it. I always liked it dry with bee hoon at this store and the yellow bean soup they serve.

I also like the variety of ingredients they have to choose from including the common tau pok, toufu and I particularly like the squid slices they offer.

Spending per head: Approximately $4(Lunch)

This porridge store that had opened for quite a while in this hawker centre near heartlandmall is one of my dinner dapao place.

They offer different types of porridge from the usual century egg porridge, to pig organs to frog leg to choose from. I love that they give you youtiao where you ask them to cut it to pieces or by your preference, bite the youtiao as you savour the taste of the porridge. The porridge is really smooth.

Carrot Cake! Smile Apr 17, 2013

Do you have a hawker store that you eat since young and no matter where else you eat that dish, it is still the best?
This is one of my that store. I ate their carrot cake since young due to my brother's fondness for it.

But sad to say the 古早味 disappeared after they moved their store from upstairs (beside the wet market) to downstairs after a major revamp to the whole wet market and hawker centre. I suppose its due to their change of utensils and wok. It is slowly coming back but I would think it will take more than a while..

I love the excessive eggs they add into the carrot cake and how all the ingredients comes together to taste so wellsmile

Recommended Dish(es):  Black Carrot Cake

Spending per head: Approximately $3(Breakfast)

This is one of my favourite japanese restaurants around. They have a wide variety of ala cartes and sets to choose, from sukiyaki soup, curry katsu to bento sets.
Personally I like this bento set the most cause it consist of my favourite salmon sashimi and softshell crab tempura and nanban chicken katsu which is a special type of mayonnaise with the chicken katsu.
