Had a cup of mochacinno and a slice of cheesecake for supper with my friend the other day. I was my first time trying and it was quite surprising that they did decorated my coffee for me. It was really nice and it is much cheaper as compared to Starbucks. The cheesecake tasted not bad but it was really normal.

Wan Chai is one of the stalls in the famous NTU canteen 1. But due to recent renovations it is no longer in NTU. Wan Chai provides affordable HK food. Though the prices is slightly higher than the other stall's, it served not only noodle dishes but also western. One of my favourite is the Chicken and Mushroom Baked Rice. They are generous with the cheese and ingredients which provides a very filling meal.

Salmon or beef is one of the most popular and basic dishes in pepper lunch. Where raw meat will be placed around the rice which is in the middle with corn and butter. The butter and the brown and garlic sauce makes the rice very fragrant. I really like the hot plate concept. The whole combination of mixing and cooking the meat together with the rice and the sauces make the dish very nice.

Hot tomato is a resaurant that offers western at affordable prices. They have chicken, fish to steaks. Most mains comes with pasta. They have a meal option which includes a soup and drink. I tried the lemon chicken, sirloin steak and mushroom soup. I think the sirloin steak was alright if you have a craving for steak but on a budget. The lemon chicken was slightly too oily.

Toby's - The Dessert Asylum  (Marine Parade)

Bought a groupon and went to Marine Parade for Western. I have never heard of Toby's before and this is the first time trying. Truthfully, if there wasn't the groupon I don't think I will ever try this restaurant as Parkway Parade is a little out of the way for me.

The calamari was ok while the bake rice and pasta is not bad, they are generous with the cheese and the sauce was quite nice. The last pic is the mushroom soup, we felt that it was a little bland.
