Monster Challenge OK Aug 08, 2012
Categories : Japanese | Ramen

The phrase 'This is crazy' keeps repeating itself over and over again in my head while I struggled to finish
this giant bowl (about 2 and 1/2 normal bowl) of ramen to complete the monster challenge. My friend looked worried that I may collapse while eating. I loved the stunned look on the uncle's face when I managed to finish by 19 mins. (As long as it does not exceed 20 mins) I almost puke after eating it, as the noodles was the killer. I could not really enjoy the ramen as I was rushing through it, and I earned the $21 voucher for the next visit!

Ice cream! OK Aug 08, 2012
Categories : Ice Cream and Gelato

Went into Udders with my friend at Novena after a swim. As I entered, I saw many newspaper cuttings pasted on the glass wall itself. I actually did not know the real meaning of the word 'udders' till I read it from a stand on the table. My friend ordered the 'Mao Shan Wang' ice-cream and the flavor was so strong that it covered up the taste of his other ice-cream. As for me, I tried 2 alcoholic flavors. The tiramisu and the orange chocolate was at first not bad. However, as I continued to eat, I could no longer take the taste of the alcohol as I am not really a fan of it. In the end, I did not manage to finish the ice-cream. As for the waffles, it was thick and slightly soggy and I find it disgusting.

Squid ink pizza OK Aug 08, 2012
Categories : Restaurant | Pasta

The concept of the outlet is rather interesting. With the cardboard signs and recycled-looking table and chairs, it made me feel like I am eating at a junk yard. The black pizza picture captured both my friend and my attention. We immediately refer to the menu to check it out and realized that it was squid ink pizza. As my friend was in the rush, we only ordered that pizza.
By the sound of the outlet name, my friend and I thought that the pizza was supposed to be thin crusted. We did not least expect that the pizza's crust to be cracker-like. The overall taste was not bad and the pizza itself looks like a mini garden.

Secret Recipe Cakes OK Aug 08, 2012
Categories : Fusion | Desserts and Cakes | Pasta | Halal

I had a craving for Secret Recipe's chocolate banana cake for quite some time already and finally, a friend accompanied me to Plaza Sing to eat it! I missed the smooth chocolate coating texture with chocolate cream and slices of bananas in it. I
ordered it without further looking at its menu. My friend decided to try the strawberry cheese cake which was rather disappointing. It tasted more like strawberry cream cake as we could not taste much of the cheese. Besides that, the service was really sucky as the waiters/waitresses needed multiple reminders before serving us water. (It was not even crowded that day!)

Kazokutei Hand Made Udon OK Aug 08, 2012
Categories : Japanese | Restaurant | Noodles

As the outlet's name relates itself to hand made udon, my friends and I decided to get the udon set. The set itself came
with a rice bowl of our choice. As for the udon, I felt that the overall taste was very bland and I had to add a lot of
spices for more flavour. I always love an egg in my soup! My other friends had the egg rice bowl and they said it tasted better than their Udon! Clearly enough, although my ebi rice bowl was just average, it tasted much better than my Udon too! The tempura prawn was rather fragrant and the sauce was not too sweet.
