Mushiya Steamers Cry Aug 10, 2012
Categories : Japanese | Bakery | Stall / Kiosk

I 'da-bao' a coffee steam cake and a matcha steam cake. Basically the steam cakes were plain and were the same. A more
healthier choice as compared to muffins I supposed. The flavors were infused into the cream itself (coffee and matcha
cream) and a little final touches to make them looked different. What a waste of decoration as these steam cakes were placed in plastic bags which smudged and spoiled the appearance. I felt that they tasted too bland and not as nice as they looked.

House of Steamboat & Noodle Cry Aug 08, 2012
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Steamboat/Hot Pot | Kids-Friendly

I met up with a large group of NS friends to have a steamboat meal. It was partly my fault that we ended up eating such lousy steamboat. It was lousy beyond imagination. Anyway, it was the company of my friends which made the eating experience slightly better, but not the food. Anyway, I will never come back to this place again. After we seated down, we were served a couple of complimentary dishes. It was only 1 round, not like other steamboat outlets around Bugis, it is freeflow! The first was the fried mantou with condense milk, I supposed. It was not fired enough as it does not have that crisp texture and feeling when I bite into it. The next dish was the chillied drumsticks. It was spicy and some of my friends liked it. I noticed many chili seeds on the drumsticks. It is because they are too lazy to remove them? Anyway, it was spicy enough to make me want to drink water. I ended up drinking some really diluted syrup drinks from the drinks dispenser.
Next was the fake scallop and fried spring rolls. Haiz, it was as horrible. It tasted soggy and seems like they had been
fried and left there for a period of time before being served to us. I hate it when I see oil seeping out of the spring rolls
too. The raw dishes were ordered by ticking on a piece of laminated paper and the choices are rather limited. It just feels so pathetic and some of the raw fish slices were unfresh. Writing this post made me feel like I am complaining all the way, and it is true anyway. Last but not least, I want to whine about the freaking soup. The so-called tom yam soup was tasteless and almost not spicy at all. They could as well give us plain water and we add in our own chilli and it would even be better.

Thai Express Cry Aug 08, 2012

My friend and I ordered this crayfish with glass noodles. As my friend had tried this dish before, she was quite satisfied with it. As for me, it was hell! The spiciness was tolerable but I still could not stand perspiring while having my meal. The glass
noodles tortured me till the night. Since young, every time I eat glass noodles, I will suffer from indigestion. I went home,
got nausea and puke some of it out, including some strawberry milkshake from Mac after that meal.

Fries Cry Aug 08, 2012

This outlet at Cathay Cine always seems to have a long queue at the counter as many people likes eating fries as snack. What I know about its fries is that it taste kind of 'carbonated' (my own term for being almost burnt). It also has a little burnt smell, which would taste good to many people. There are many flavours to choose from, but I dislike it when the sauce is placed on top as the bottom is always without sauce.

Blue Mountain Burger Cry Aug 01, 2012
Categories : Australian / New Zealand | Steaks and Grills | Halal | Burgers and Sandwiches | Kids-Friendly

I called the Blue Mountain Burger the 'Leaning Burger of Mad Jack'. 5 pattys and I took 3 beef and 2 chicken. The best part of the burger was its cheese! (I loved cheese a lot.) The most crucial yet the worst was the pattys! I felt that pattys were like pillars of a structure, once they were screwed, the building would topple. (I did not meant the physical form but the taste
itself.) The pattys were rather starchy and contained plenty of vegetables! Disgusting and totally caught me by surprise.
