Nyx ordered the Basil pesto Snapper with Clam Chowder Linguine (A dish that was not available the 1st time round).
The clam chowder soup was a little diluted with a couple of clams. The fish tasted fresh but hard and Nyx complained
that it was not filling enough for him.
As for me, I decided to try the Piri Piri Chicken. The pasta was slightly hard but was drenched evenly in neapolitan sauce
(from the descriptions, but it was just chunky tomato sauce to me). It smells good when it was first place on the table
right under my nose. The chicken tights were fragrant and tender with juices/oil. I removed the skin as I did not want to
have fatty intakes and also to be healthier! (Alright healthier....not)

The Hand Burger Smile Aug 10, 2012

After mum saw the menu, mm was stunned and did not know what to order. Most of the food from the menu were burgers
and these burgers sounded really unique. After some consideration, a mundane fish and chip was ordered. Fried with a
crispy batter, the flour sure was tasty and the fish was moist and tender. A good alternative for non-burger eaters. My meal had a soup of the day which was mushroom soup. The thought of mushroom soup made me sigh as nowadays
mushroom soup is rather common everywhere. However, a good mushroom soup is not everywhere. This one was
creamy and thick with chunks of mushrooms in it. I was tempted to get another bowl but was more excited for my main
course to arrive. Finally my burger arrived. I saw a few other tables around us having the very same burger. (Supposedly it was one of the popular item?) It looked rather unique and tasty. I had the beef patty medium cooked as I liked some blood (rawness) taste as compared to well done. (I was afraid that well done would meant being overcooked and stiff.) They had
caramelised onions, blue cheese, pear (baked I supposed and tasted horrible), tomato and vegetables inside. Overall it
was rather tasty and I do not mind coming back to try out the other types of burger.

IKEA Restaurant Smile Aug 10, 2012

One of the most common dish ordered was the fried chicken wings. Ocf and I ate 2 each while Wll and Wcy ate 1 each. I
found it rather oily and I followed Wcy wiped off the oil before eating! Ocf on the other hand ignored the oil and just
enjoyed it. Crispy! I could say that IKEA's most popular dish was the meatballs. We ordered 40 meatballs and each of us had 10 balls each! These meatballs were deprived of sauce and we had to ask for 2 cups of extra sauce. Chunks of potatoes were also served with the meatballs and they were soft and easy to eat. (We ordered the halal meatballs which was available in this IKEA.) I found the sauce too diluted and watery. The sauce could not even 'cling' onto the meatballs and would drip off quickly. There were also lingonberry jam given with the meatballs. Wll and Wcy found it weird eating the meatballs with jam. I enjoyed the mild sweetness of the jam which made the meatballs more savoury. After chatting for over 3 hours, the place was still crowded. We decided not to leave this place yet without trying the desserts. As girls are afraid to get fat, they shared this chocolate slice. As for Ocf and I, we ordered all 3 slices of pie. Wll and Ocf preferred this the most as maybe the chocolate felt thick and 'shiok'. Wcy and I preferred this nutty slice with strong butterscotch taste. The strong fragrance of the butterscotch made me addicted and wanting for more. If you want something less sinful, you could go for this. Apple pie! The chunks of apple would make apple lovers drool. We should have eaten this first before eating the other two pies as it felt tasteless with our mouths overwhelming with chocolate and butterscotch sweetness.

Miso Korean Restaurant Smile Aug 10, 2012

Kimchi! This dish was one of the complimentary appetizers which they served. I can't take spicy therefore a few slices
were enough to make me 'hot'. Nyy finished up the rest and even asked for another plate. Anyway, it was free refill. Another complimentary appetizer was yellow beans. I ate 1 and stopped, as I did not know how to appreciate it. We ordered and shared the Korean rice cake, in case our main meal was not filling enough. It came with a hard-boiled egg and generous serving of chili sauce. At first I liked the chewiness. However as I ate about 4 pieces, I started to get sicked of the taste. Such things cannot overeat and would be recommended for sharing. My friend's beef set came. It looked really tempting and seeing steam coming out made me drool. It came with a bowl of seaweed soup which tasted too overwhelming. The result of mixing them together and do not be fooled by the look. It tasted really yummy. The yolk made the rice sticky
and goes real well with the tender beef slices. Feel the heat from the black pepper and the steam too. My friend was praising it throughout as he ate and perspired at the same time! My own set was less appealing as compared to Nyy. It came with a bowl of seaweed soup, fried chicken, salad and beef slices. Surprisingly, the fried chicken was rather fragrant. However, nothing could beat that pile of juicy beef slices resting on my plate, waiting to be eaten!

My Fat Lady Cakes & Bakes Smile Aug 08, 2012

I happened to walked past this lovely bakery hidden within the streets. I got tempted by food easily and ended up going in to try out a cupcake. I went to asked for the most popular cupcake and was recommended red velvet. As there
was no place to eat inside the shop, I sat at the bench outside to capture more pictures before digging in with the given spoon. Rose designed red coloured and white below the red cheese cream. Finally had a few spoonful transferred into my mouth. It was yummy when eaten together with the cheese cream as the cheese gave the taste.
